THE SHORT ANSWER

A matching USB-C plug is not enough to validate a Dell dock. For WD22TB4, the HDMI and MFDP USB-C video sockets cannot drive displays simultaneously. The Latitude 7450 also offers a documented two-direct-port route to the reference USB-C monitors without using a dock.

Why a new cable cannot fix the wrong pair

WD22TB4 shares a video path between its HDMI and MFDP USB-C sockets. Changing cable quality does not create a second independent signal on that pair. Dell lists alternatives such as two DisplayPort outputs and other pairs, but each positive setup still needs the host and simultaneous-mode requirements checked.

Distinguish a complete WD22TB4 dock from a module-only listing. The actual host cable/module and power supply belong in the equipment record.

Video and charging are separate questions

Dell’s general dock documentation and Apple-host guidance use different charging ceilings in different contexts. We retain this unresolved distinction rather than publish one exact Mac charging wattage. A visible picture is not proof of fast charging, power-button synchronization, USB throughput or wake stability.

For a missing picture, follow physical fault isolation. For Windows-specific controls, use the Windows 11 checklist.
