NYBreaking Tech updates and release notes

An editorial update is different from an automated source availability check.

30 September 2026 · Expanded compatibility guides and model profiles

  • Added nine source-linked guides covering M1/M2 Air dual displays, MacBook Pro chip tiers, Dell XPS docking, dock selection and fault isolation.
  • Expanded exact laptop, monitor and dock records while preserving the difference between component specifications and fully evaluated connection paths.
  • Added named publisher attribution, comparison tables, dock port-role schematics and related-guide links.
  • Improved source availability visibility and mobile loading. No original hardware testing or new affiliate approval is claimed.

24 September 2026 · M5 direct and TS4 connection resource

  • Expanded the existing M5 guide to cover the exact 13-inch and 15-inch 2026 MacBook Air records.
  • Added a crawlable exact-port diagram comparing two direct USB-C video connections with the one-host-cable CalDigit TS4 route.
  • Rechecked Apple’s display limits and current CalDigit M5/dual-display documentation. This was a documentation review, not a physical hardware test.
  • Added a route decision table, reproducible 4K/60 steps and explicit limits for other docks, cables and higher display modes.

23 September 2026 · M3 dual-monitor connection resource

  • Added a crawlable, exact-model connection diagram for the M3 MacBook Air closed-lid path.
  • Separated two direct video connections, a native Thunderbolt dock and DisplayLink software so their trade-offs are not conflated.
  • Rechecked the Apple M3 conditions and current CalDigit TS4 compatibility documentation. This was a documentation review, not a new physical hardware test.
  • Linked the guide to a pre-filled planner case while preserving unknown or changed components.

18 September 2026 · Launch improvements

  • Added complete dock profiles, practical comparison rows and clearer equipment requirements.
  • Separated dock fault isolation from Windows settings troubleshooting and expanded the USB-C/Thunderbolt comparison.
  • Improved mobile questions, source retrieval visibility, sharing previews and correction form reliability.

18 September 2026 · Connection planner release

  • Added exact host, monitor, cable and dock candidate records.
  • Implemented the ten reference cases and native/software path separation.
  • Added connection diagrams, twelve distinct guides and source-linked candidate comparisons.

Each evidence record shows its own review date and limitations. Material corrections are recorded on the corrections page.
