NYBREAKINGTECH, CONNECTED.23 exact profiles. Native paths and software requirements explained. Check the full setup before buying.
Compare up to three candidates →See supported finder models and connection paths
This catalogue separates native Thunderbolt and DisplayPort paths from DisplayLink software display products. That distinction matters more than the number of sockets on the box. A dock advertised for four monitors on a particular Windows host may offer only two independent screens on a compatible Mac, or one on a base M1/M2 Air using native video. Read the host limit and output grouping before comparing peripheral ports.
The profiles below identify useful applications, unsuitable expectations, required bundles and the most consequential model-specific limitation. A schematic shows connection roles; it is not a photograph or a laboratory result. We have not performed original hardware tests. A documented connection path combines cited component specifications, while a research candidate requires further matching before it can become a positive planner result.
Compare a complete dock bundle with reusing your existing monitor cables. A small adapter can solve a single HDMI requirement, while a desktop dock may add charging, Ethernet and peripheral connections. Check the correct power supply and host cable when considering a used unit. Regional stock, prices and seller claims are not verified here. Start with the MacBook Air decision guide or compare three distinct Thunderbolt dock designs.
| Check | Why it matters | Next decision |
|---|---|---|
| Native Thunderbolt | Compatible host display allowance | Host cable and downstream output choices |
| DP Alt Mode / MST | Host MST and bandwidth support | macOS independent-extension limitations |
| DisplayLink | Software-driven display path | Install permissions and protected video |
| Single HDMI adapter | One supported output | Power-only USB-C socket is not video |
