Nina Dobrev suffered a humiliating altercation at the Venice Film Festival after apparently being asked to leave the red carpet by security.
The 37-year-old actress looked effortlessly chic as she entered the event in a strapless dress by Armani Privé.
The floor-length dress was decorated with black sequins that gradually tapered to reveal a green mesh underneath.
Dobrev took a seat in front of the photographers as she prepared for her photo shoot, but was promptly interrupted.
An unnamed man, dressed in an all-black suit, suddenly came into view directly in front of Dobrev and raised his left arm to gesture for her to come along.
He appeared to mumble several instructions to an unimpressed Dobrev before a woman off-camera appeared to briefly intervene.
Dobrev was then able to steal a few seconds from the camera as she playfully twirled the two long curtains around her midriff with a very stern expression.
However, members of security quickly emerged and led her away.

An unnamed man, wearing an all-black suit, suddenly came into view directly in front of Dobrev and raised his left arm to gesture for her to continue walking.
Dobrev made an uncomfortable frown before walking away, giggling in apparent disbelief.
The star waved briefly to the photographers gathered on the other side of the carpet, but did not stop.
The clip quickly began circulating on social media when an
‘Did they stay too long, or was it their lack of organisation? Anyway, it was embarrassing,” another wondered.
“Why on earth did they send Nina Dobrev away from the red carpet in Venice?” a third added.
The Daily Mail has contacted the Venice Film Festival for comment.
The exchange comes after Dobrev recently fueled romance speculation with hunky male model Dougie Joseph after he was spotted in New York City in June.
Dobrev and former Olympic snowboarder Shaun White ended their engagement in September 2025.
The two stars first crossed paths in 2019 and went Instagram official with their romance the following year.

In May 2022, the couple made their red carpet debut when they attended the star-studded premiere of Top Gun: Maverick in London.
Two years later, Dobrev and White announced they were engaged following his romantic proposal in New York.
However, last September it was revealed that the stars had decided to end the engagement and go their separate ways.
“It was a mutual decision, and not an easy one, but it was made with love and a deep respect for each other,” a source told People at the time.
