Cruz Hewitt’s friendship with Roger Federer’s 17-year-old twin daughter Myla continues to heat up.
Cruz, 17, the budding tennis star son of Australian tennis legend Lleyton Hewitt and his actress wife Bec, was spotted enjoying the US Open in New York with the blonde on Monday.
The teens sat next to each other in the stands, giggling and smiling as they talked and watched something on each other’s phones.
They felt very comfortable in each other’s company and leaned towards each other as they shared a friendly moment during the evening competition.
Myla’s twin sister Charlene and younger brother Leo were also in attendance and were separately cheered together as they watched American Ben Shelton’s first round victory over Dutchman Tallon Greekpoor.
Cruz, Myla and Charlene have been spotted together several times in recent months, including at the Australian Open in January, where Cruz sat next to the sisters in the stands.

And the friendship seemed to go strong at Wimbledon last month, when Cruz was seen enthusiastically greeting the twins as he arrived for the junior boys’ final.
The trio’s joint appearances have generated a lot of interest given their extraordinary sporting pedigree, sparking rumors that Cruz and Myla could be an item.
“It makes sense that Cruz and Myla would at least be friends. Cruz has always had a good relationship with Myla and her twin brother,” an insider said Women’s Day.
“If they really are an item, then it would be a kind of relief for both parents because they all know that they grew up together with very similar values.”
The twins live with their father in Switzerland and Cruz is reportedly considering a move there to further his budding tennis career under Federer’s mentorship and be close to his friends.
‘[The Federers] I love him and Cruz thinks it can be a win-win situation. Be close to the girls, but also have Roger as a mentor,” the insider added.
‘Cruz certainly has Switzerland on his mind. He loves being with the Federer family and sees the appeal of having that kind of tennis knowledge right on his doorstep.”
However, Cruz’s parents, Lleyton, 45, and Bec, 43, are reportedly wary of him moving abroad, fearing ‘distractions’ could take his mind off tennis training.

“Lleyton understands why Cruz is excited about it, but he’s also been around tennis long enough to know how quickly distractions can creep in,” the insider said.
“He doesn’t close the door on Switzerland, but he wants Cruz to have the right to make those big decisions by putting work first.”
Lleyton has previously publicly acknowledged the toll their unconventional lifestyle has taken, revealing that Bec had quietly taken on the emotional burden of uprooting their young family time and time again.
The Sport Australia Hall of Fame legend said Bec had been the anchor of the family as they bounced around the world for his tennis career and later their son’s emerging journey in the sport.
“Bec has traveled the world with us and it’s a grind, and especially with three young children we’ve had to move and settle abroad,” Lleyton said at the ceremony.
“And she did everything with grace and elegance.
‘You have been my rock all along. Without you I certainly wouldn’t have been able to continue my career and play twenty Australian Opens. I am forever grateful, I love you so much.”
The couple have three children: daughters Mia, 20, and Ava, 15, as well as son Cruz.
