Jennifer Aniston publicly interviewed her boyfriend Jim Curtis in New York City on Wednesday to mark the release of his new book, The Book of Possibility.
The 57-year-old Friends star and 50-year-old author took the stage at the Kaufmann Concert Hall at the 92NY Residence, where a packed room of attendees witnessed their chemistry and banter, as seen in photos and video obtained by the Daily Mail.
During a fan Q&A after their 30-minute conversation, Aniston revealed a “deep fear” that Curtis is helping her overcome by letting her moderate the event.
She made the revelation when asked to share “one possibility.” [she is] choose today.’
Aniston responded that she is “choosing to overcome a very deep fear of public speaking.”
When asked how she deals with stress, the star replied: ‘I think I’m doing very well. Deep breathing and meditation.’
Aniston emphasized, “Really. It’s five deep, deep breaths. Focus. Take a moment.’

Meanwhile, Curtis opened up about his personal struggles during the one-on-one conversation.
He shared the difficulty of facing his health in his early 20s, when doctors discovered lesions on his spinal cord, leading to partial paralysis and chronic nerve damage.
“I’m not saying here that if the doctor tells you to do something, you should get up and leave,” he explained about receiving a serious diagnosis.
He said, “What I’m saying is you don’t have to live as a victim. You don’t have to live in your suffering. It can become your strength.’
His advice for getting through a health ordeal is to “accept it and love it.”
However, he wasn’t always honest about why he walks with a limp.
“I’d say I was in a motorcycle accident,” Curtis admitted. ‘I was so ashamed that I had a medical condition. I was broken somehow. I thought the motorcycle accident was a bit macho, to say the least.’
Over the course of 25 years, he said he “overcame” his insecure thoughts with “self-acceptance and self-love.”
At the end of the conversation, Aniston thanked the audience and warmly hugged her friend in front of the packed house before leaving the stage.

Aniston became Instagram official with Curtis last November on the occasion of his birthday.
At the time, she professed her love for her boyfriend as she shared a black and white image of herself hugging him from behind.
She captioned the loved-up photo: “Happy birthday my love. Cherished ❤️.’
The hypnotist also posted snapshots from his birthday party to his Instagram account in two posts.
One caption read: ’50 and feeling good! Birthday Recap Part 1. Thanks for all the wishes and love. I am so grateful for you, my friends, family and community.”
Another, more romantic one, including a wider shot of the photo Jennifer posted, had the sweet comment: “If this is a dream I don’t want to wake up.” ❤️.’
