Her wellness brand Cosmoss may have gone bankrupt, but her latest ad for Gucci is seeing it Kate Moss determined to hit the right note – even if she’s not the one singing.
The label’s new campaign, which takes the form of a four-and-a-half minute film, sees Moss, 52, take to the microphone to belt his way through a sultry rendition of Wicked Game, which became a hit for Chris Isaak after being featured in the 1990 David Lynch film Wild at Heart.
The ad features the Croydon-born model in the same backless sequin dress she wore to close the Gucci show in Milan in February. But while the signature thong was clearly visible on the catwalk, it is hidden in the video as Moss is largely pictured from the front.
Despite the dim and moody lighting, it is clear that she is wearing the same makeup as in the show, with her hair in the same tousled style.
The film And We Shall Dance Again shows a group of ‘beautiful strangers’ slowly dancing together as Moss sings, each with a look seen on the catwalk.

One familiar face though Bobby Brazier23, the son of TV host Jeff and Jade Goodwho is briefly seen in a close-up wearing the same black turtleneck he modeled in the Milan show.
Although she mimes in the video, Moss has sung in public several times, most notably in a duet with Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie. She also provided vocals on her ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty’s songs. The model’s latest performance has divided opinion online.
“What a deep voice you have,” one Instagram user joked about Isaak’s baritone, which came from Moss.
‘This video has the atmosphere of an NA [Narcotics Anonymous] meeting in downtown New York, circa 2000,” wrote another. As to whether Gucci’s new ‘Primavera’ collection will reverse shrinking sales, it’s still too early to say.
It’s also too early to tell how much Moss’ thong dress will cost, as it’s still not available on the brand’s website.
With similar dresses selling for four figures, it certainly won’t be in vain.
