Howard Stern has secured his next career move, amid the removal of his Howard 101 channel by SiriusXM.
The 72-year-old controversial media personality has reportedly signed a deal with HBO Max, where his show will continue to stream.
According to The sunthe platform will use material from its weekly show and form it into a series.
A source told the outlet that “Stern will do the live shows exclusively on Mondays,” explaining, “That’s why he won’t be starting on the Tuesday after Labor Day this year as usual.”
It was further noted by the insider, “This is a very strict schedule for him to be able to use that show’s video for HBO Max.”
The new arrangement will see the streamer “capture the best of Stern’s three-hour live show each week, which will be condensed later in the week into a 90-minute or hour-long show broadcast via the subscription service.”

This week, SiriusXM announced that Stern’s channel was being dropped after it was rocked by mass layoffs, scaled back to one new show per week and labeled “ruthless.”
Previously, the star had two channels: Howard 100, which showed his new material, and Howard 101, which showed archival clips.
Stern has been replaced at Channel 101 by Bravo boss Andy Cohen.
Sirius XM announced the changes in a blog post on Friday, stating: “SiriusXM is updating its channel lineup starting September 1, with new channel numbers for a variety of sports, entertainment, comedy, news, talk and music channels.
‘One of the most striking changes is that Radio Andy is switching from Ch. 102 to Ch. 101, while Howard 100 on Ch. 100 and Howard 101 leave the lineup.”
In July, it was revealed that Stern was preparing to ramp up one new show per week this fall, forcing the radio organization to lay off about a dozen staffers.
“He just doesn’t need that much content anymore,” an insider said Page six at the time.
The new shows will begin in the fall when Stern returns from his summer vacation, and the remaining four days a week will be programmed with material from the past.

Laid-off staffers were informed of the update via a Zoom call on July 13, sources told the outlet, noting that they were sent home afterward.
The staffers will be eligible for severance packages commensurate with their time with the satellite company, the outlet reported.
News of the reduced schedule and staff drew sharp reactions from loyal listeners last month.
An X user with the handle @bringbackjackiewho live blogs The Howard Stern Show, told the Daily Mail that the sharp drop in production is tied to the departure of former SiriusXM CEO Jim Meyer in 2020 and the death of Stern’s longtime agent Don Buchwald in 2024.
Both were cited as critical factors that “only accelerated Stern’s demise at the company,” leading to “pay cuts,” “fewer days worked” and workforce reductions.
