Gangster glamour! Maya Jama takes on the mafia wife aesthetic in a daring leather dress while Kaya Scodelario dazzles in diamonds in the season two premiere of Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen

The star-studded cast were out in full force tonight for the premiere of Guy Ritchie’s crime drama The Gentlemen season two at the Guildhall Art Gallery in London.

Maya Jama, 32, injected a touch of gangster glamor in a daringly cut leather dress as she arrived on the red carpet for her first-ever movie premiere.

The Love Island presenter makes her acting debut as Aisha, the wife of a criminal associate of Theo’s character, Eddie.

Meanwhile, Kaya Scodelario, 34, channeled her impeccably styled character Susie as she dazzled in diamonds.

Scodelario returns in season two as the daughter of a gangster named Bobby Glass (Ray Winstone) who runs a cannabis empire on English estates.

And life imitated art as Theo James channeled his duke and crime boss Eddie Horniman, dressed to the nines in a tailored suit.

Hugh Bonneville made his first appearance alongside his co-stars after joining the cast as the colorful Lord Hawthorne.

Joely Richardson, who plays Lady Sabrina, oozed glamor in a dress with gold chains.

Ritchie, who directed the crime drama, was joined at the premiere by his son Rocco and his wife Jacqui Ainsley, 44. Ritchie shares Rocco, 26, with his ex-wife Madonna.

The new series of the crime comedy drama, which drops on Netflix tomorrow, also sees Vinnie Jones and Daniel Ings reprise their roles as Geoffrey Seacombe and not-so-bright brother Freddy Horniman.

The new look at the upcoming series sees James’ character Eddie take on the Glass empire as he attempts to resume full control of his estate.

At the start of the clip he says: ‘400 years ago this estate stretched as far as the eye could see’, over beautiful footage of its vast grounds. “I want it all back.”

However, the path to total domination is never smooth, especially when Bobby is the opponent.

But Bobby is aware of Eddie and Susie’s ambitions to expand their criminal empire, as he tells them that he knows he hopes he could support their efforts to “decriminalize marijuana.”

Giancarlo Esposito also returns as Stanley Johnston to further fuel Eddie’s desire to rule, telling him to “Make your own way.” Get away from Bobby Glass.”

As the series begins, it has been a year since Eddie and Susie joined forces to work together abroad as part of Bobby’s operation.

But it soon becomes clear that neither of them agree with the recent decisions that kingpin Bobby has made.

With Bobby standing in the way of the criminal empire’s expansion, Eddie and Susie must decide whether to stand in line or make their own moves.

The trailer also introduces Bonneville’s character Lord Hawthorne and Jama as a gangster moll, after they both participated in the series’ second season.

Ahead of the premiere, it was claimed that former British royal Meghan Markle had been cast in a role in the show’s third installment.

But just as quickly as the news broke, it was claimed the offer had been withdrawn after the reaction in Britain became too “intense”, according to royal writer Tina Brown.

Ms Brown said: “I have heard that Meghan Markle’s casting has been withdrawn. The setback was so severe that it became untenable to continue.”

In her Fresh Hell Substack newsletter, the author wrote, “This doesn’t bode well for Markle’s acting comeback.”

Just four years ago, Markle insisted she had no plans to return to acting. In 2022, she told Variety magazine, “I’m done. I think you should never say never, but my intention is absolutely not to do that.’

Now, however, her return to screen is being touted by sources ‘close to the Duchess’ as one of the reasons why she and Prince Harry are returning to Britain.
