An ‘idiot’ camper climbed over a fence and ignored warning signs to set up camp on the edge of a crumbling 150-foot coastal cliff.
The famous cliffs at West Bay, Dorset ITV crime drama Broadkerkare susceptible to regular rockfall, nine of which were recorded last year alone.
Below the cliffs lies a huge pile of rubble from previous landslides.

The lone man in a T-shirt and shorts had to climb over a fence erected by the council to prevent walkers from getting near the cliff edge and ignored numerous ‘warning signs’ to reach the spot.
He also risked being hit by a stray golf ball as he positioned himself on the side of the green at hole 15 at Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club.
The camper was spotted at 8pm on Friday by photographer Graham Hunt, who couldn’t believe what he saw.

He said: ‘I don’t know what’s going through people’s minds, but I think they think, ‘I’m going to sleep here because I have the best view of the sunset.’
‘The footpath has been closed by the municipality for two and a half years because they consider it unsafe.
‘He had to jump a fence and ignore obvious warning signs to get there.
“It seems kind of crazy.”
In 2012, 22-year-old tourist Charlotte Blackman was crushed to death by a massive landslide as she walked under the cliffs past the Burton Bradstock World Heritage Site.
A spokesperson for Dorset Council said: ‘The Jurassic Coast looks like this due to erosion – meaning it is always moving.
‘It’s a beautiful place to visit, but it’s important to use common sense and caution. Stay away from the edge and base of cliffs and always pay attention to warning signs and safety messages.’
