Rochelle Humes’ daughter Alaia-Mai, 9, could barely contain her excitement on Monday night when she met the Princess of Wales during a night out at London’s BAFTAs.

The youngster was seen squealing with delight after shaking hands with Kate Middleton at her event, at which the royal launched the next leg of her Shaping Us campaign and was organized by The Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood.

Alaia-Mai TV presenter mum Rochelle, 33, shared the proud moment on her Instagram, with the star holding on to her little girl’s shoulders as she smiled at her.

Her husband, Marvin Humes, 37, who was at home with the couple’s other two children, also uploaded the moment to his stories, commenting that he was “proud of my daughters.”

Sharing laughs, Rochelle, Alaia-Mai and Kate were also joined by radiant BBC journalist Kate Silverton, who looked lovely in a black maxi skirt and blazer.

While always the fashion icon, Kate looked stunning in a bold red suit, while Prince William, who was also in attendance, looked dapper in a navy blazer and pants.

Meanwhile, Rochelle was always the radiant beauty in a chocolate satin maxi gown.

Rochelle’s satin garment featured a long-sleeved design and a scoop neckline that fell to the ankles in a figure-flattering style.

She teamed the number with a matching pair of dark heels, while staying warm in a cardigan with gold buttons on top.

The Saturday star pinned up her dark locks in a sleek bun, while adding a pair of beautiful pearl and gold earrings.

Meanwhile, Alaia-Mai looked adorable in a floral dress worn with white tights and white shoes.

Matching her mother, she also wore her dark locks in a neat bun.

And Alaia-Mai was the spitting image of her mother as they held hands as they left the event.

Rochelle is also the mother of her youngest daughter Valentina Raine, five, and son Blake Hampton, two.

Speaking during the event, Rochelle revealed that she had brought her daughter, Alaia, to the event “on a school night.”

‘There’s only one reason she’s here,’ he teased, looking at the princess, ‘and…it’s your hair. She has the best hair, mom!

Rochelle also talked about being raised by her mother, a single mother, sharing: “She [my mother] He taught me, he protected me, he hugged me when I was upset and, believe me, he corrected me when I was wrong in equal measure. She taught me that anything is possible and that if you don’t ask, you don’t get.’

Kate kicked off her new ‘Shaping Us’ initiative at the event, which will see an ambitious hype blitz in cinemas and billboards across the country, with a dazzling reception at BAFTA in London.

Rochelle was photographed leaving the venue while holding her daughters’ hands as she waited for a car to take them home.

While a host of other stars were spotted stepping out, Ferne Cotton opted for an all-black ensemble with satin pants and a long-sleeved lace top.

Zara McDermott looked chic in a navy blue midi dress, with a long cream coat over it.
