Gemma Collins broke down in tears as she opened up about her ‘heartbreak’ at being advised to terminate a pregnancy during a candid interview on the new Everything I Know About Me podcast.

The former TOWIE star, 43, became emotional as she recalled how medical professionals advised her to terminate her pregnancy.

In a trailer for the podcast interview, which will be released on May 9, Gemma said: ‘They advised me that you need a termination agreement. I remember that being really stressful. That hurt me.’

Her past relationships were also discussed, with the reality star admitting: ‘I was really heartbroken because I was pregnant and he was having an affair.’

It is not clear whether this is the pregnancy she was advised to terminate by healthcare professionals.

The trailer also touched on lighter topics discussed during the wide-ranging interview, including some of the cosmetic procedures Gemma has undergone.

She said: “I had surgery years ago, I had a designer vagina,” before jokingly adding: “But I don’t have a camel toe!”

Gemma has been open about her fertility problems and has previously suffered three miscarriages.

She suffered her first heartbreaking loss in 2012 and found the strength to speak out publicly about it eight years later in 2020.

The reality star didn’t realize she was pregnant at the time and said the baby “died before her eyes” after giving birth at home on her landing.

Speaking in her own podcast, Gemma said: ‘I’ve had some shocking things happen to me, I’m not sure I’ve talked about this before.

‘But unfortunately I gave birth to a child, and in fact the child was four months old. In fact, I had a miscarriage, but the baby was clearly formed and died before my eyes.”

‘I had to go to the hospital and my mother was there. I remember my mother being very upset, I was in shock, I was upset.

‘That was a really shocking moment for me. But this is what I’m saying, I can talk about it now. Sometimes things aren’t meant to be that way.

‘I’ll never forget it, it was a very traumatizing experience because I didn’t know I was pregnant and I literally remember waking up in severe pain and my mother saying to me, ‘Gemma, you need to go to the toilet,’ and I thought, ‘Honey, this isn’t…’

‘I mean, obviously I couldn’t describe it… Look, I’m trying to find a little bit of entertainment in this bad situation because I think that’s probably a coping mechanism of mine, I try to laugh or to see the positive side of things, even if it really was that way. traumatic.

‘But I remember being completely shocked. I’ve been through a lot, so I feel like nothing shocks me.

“So anything you could tell me right now wouldn’t shock me because I’ve been through a lot and been through a lot, but I’m grateful for those experiences because I can sit here today and pass them on to other people.”

Gemma suffered her second pregnancy loss in 2020 during the Covid pandemic.

She spoke about the disturbing incident on an episode of Loose Women, explaining: ‘It’s been very difficult for me in isolation because, as you know, with my PCOS condition it’s not easy to get pregnant and I’ve had a miscarriage had one that was serious. really sad during the lockdown period.”

She added: “I have suffered from it for the past ten years. I started gaining weight when I was 28, my periods were everywhere. I’ve had miscarriages.

‘I had a very sad miscarriage during lockdown. PCOS just made me think I was having unusually heavy periods. I actually left it for ten days.”

‘I remember the month before thinking, “Ooh, my boobs look really perky!” It’s no secret lately that I’ve found my breasts to be so heavy in my life. I’m turning 40 this year and I won’t be taking them with me for the next ten years.’

‘So I thought, “Oh, maybe I won’t have the surgery. I’ve been training. Maybe they’ll go up a little bit.” Then three or four days into a heavy period where I really realize it’s not like a regular period… but thinking there’s been a lot going on lately, maybe my body is a little stressed.’

Explaining that it was her sister-in-law who advised her to seek medical attention, she continued: ‘It took ten days between 9am and 12pm, I got through ten super healthy towels. Then it was my sister-in-law, not to be explicit, but I had to show her.”

‘I said, “I don’t think this is normal.” I called my doctor and he said, “You need to go to the hospital right away.” It was very sad. But it does make me realize that there is potential hope for me for the future.’

Gemma revealed she was happy to hear that Tana Ramsay had welcomed her sixth child at the age of 49, as it gave her hope that she too could get pregnant in her 40s.

Tragically, Gemma suffered a third devastating miscarriage just a few months later in July 2020 after becoming pregnant with her ex-boyfriend James Argent’s baby.

The TOWIE star spoke of her heartbreaking loss after Meghan Markle announced she had lost her second child with Prince Harry.

She said at the time: ‘I haven’t spoken about this before but it was my third, each a devastating loss on my long-awaited journey to motherhood.

‘I have been trying to have a child for almost ten years now, but my hopes are always dashed by first one miscarriage and then another.’

In a moving essay, Gemma described the beginning of her miscarriage and said she had no idea she was pregnant with her boyfriend Arg’s baby before she had sharp cramps one morning.

The reality star said she had dismissed the pain as a heavy period and tried to cope with the excruciating pain before her sister forced her to visit her doctor.

After being sent to hospital, Gemma received the tragic news that she had suffered a miscarriage.

She continued: ‘In one moment I learned that I had been carrying a baby and had lost it, meaning my long-standing dreams of motherhood were once again shattered into pieces.’

However, the star has refused to give up on her dream of motherhood and said in November last year that she was embarking on a new fertility journey.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline about her family plans, she revealed she was happy to hear that Tana Ramsay had welcomed her sixth child at the age of 49, as it gave her hope that she too could get pregnant in her 40s.

“The Tana Ramsay news was the best thing to wake up to. Unbelievable,” Gemma mused.

‘It really made me think positively about my future and took the pressure off. I don’t think anyone knew she was pregnant so it was a nice surprise, but I got butterflies in my stomach when I saw it.’

Gemma continued: ‘This is great news for me. I will be starting my fertility journey in the coming weeks.

“I’m going to a clinic, so watch these cards and get ready, honey.”

Revealing that she is positive about her chances, Gemma continued: ‘I will be standing on the stairs announcing the child to the world. London will come to a standstill. The great Queen will come to greet the child!’

Gemma revealed earlier this year that she was praying for a baby with her fiancé Rami Hawash. She is stepmother to his son Tristan, five.

During a spiritual trip to Tel Aviv in January, Gemma and her fiancé visited Bethlehem, with the star later confessing: ‘I prayed when I was there, I said ‘Please God, please give me a baby this year’ and you Please Know God that it happens.’

She previously described her battle against polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), which can affect fertility.

Polycystic ovary syndrome is a hormonal disorder that causes enlarged ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges. Symptoms include irregular periods, excessive hair growth, acne and obesity.
