She also said the footballer “went out of his way” to change for her, which led to her learning the “power of forgiveness.”
When asked what she has learned about heartbreak, Leigh-Anne admitted that she was still with the person who broke her heart.
She said: ‘Some people might say, oh, why are you still with them? Or why give them another chance? I think you can see that as a weakness and not putting yourself first, but I think only you know what’s really good for you.”
Leigh-Anne went on to say that the couple have been through the “struggles” and now they are in a “really beautiful place.”
She continued, “If that person can really show that they want to change, you can’t change someone, but if they’re going out of their way to change themselves, I really think that tells you everything you need to know.
“For me personally, I had to go through these struggles and things like that in our relationship to get to the point where we are now, which is a really beautiful place.”
