Miles Nazaire has apologized after coming under fire for sharing a bizarre, now-deleted video comparing women’s periods to the suffering men face.
The ex-Made In Chelsea star, 30, shared the video this week which started with ‘men don’t get their periods but…’ and then went on to list the non-gender specific issues he faces.
Miles said that “men are losing responsibility every day,” but critics have pointed out that women face the same problems, in addition to the complications of their menstrual cycle.
Many have suggested that while men’s mental health is an incredibly important topic to discuss and advocate for, they have struggled to see the need to include menstruation.
The popular version ended up in a terrible way online, as some said he approached the subject from the “wrong angle” and suggested he would “stop turning the story into a competition.”
Miles responded to the criticism he received, saying on Instagram: “Okay, I’m going to say this one time because I don’t want it to be so huge.

“I deleted the video I posted. I went in with a different feeling. I didn’t compare women and men and people blaming each other. I didn’t blame anyone.’
Miles further revealed that he would take another stab at articulating his thoughts without using women’s health as a point of comparison.
He continued, “So I took it out. I’m going to repost it with a different version because that’s what I actually wanted to do. This is a feeling I want to express and talk about…
“Especially for all the guys who follow me and stuff like that. I apologize if I offended anyone.”
He continued, “It was never the reason I put it on the market. It was the rest. It wasn’t a comparison at all. But yeah, I’ll just leave it at that.
‘I apologize if anyone is offended by this, but that was never my intention. So yeah.’
In the clip, Miles reflected on popping up when he felt like he was “dying inside,” which was picked up by people who said they felt that way while also having their period.

Miles’ words sparked angry reactions online from critics who claimed they were “two different conversations.”
One of the fans who trolled him on TikTok said: ‘Miles from Made in Chelsea posted an Instagram reel and it wasn’t well received.’
Explaining what he said, she added that while it is a good thing to talk about men’s mental health, “the angle in which he has approached this is not the right angle at all and it has caused a lot of backlash.”
She continued, “He says, ‘Oh well, women have periods, those are the horrible things they have to deal with, but men actually have to deal with all these things too,’ which is clearly not a realistic representation of what life is like.
“He has since deleted the Instagram reel and posted a sort of like on his story through gritted teeth apology.”
She then said that “he compares a woman’s period to a man’s difficulties in life or to traumas in life” and she thinks about what people need to “stop turning the story into a competition.” She added that Miles “missed the mark” with his controversial post.
The comments below her post read: ‘I think he deleted it?’; ‘Lol, we go to work, play gym and take care of toddlers who have their period’; ‘And let’s not forget how underfunded women’s health care is’; ‘Is he real’; ‘Well said, completely agree with you’; ‘Very well said, thank you for speaking out’;
‘They only talk about their problems to discredit women’; ‘It’s strange that as a woman I NEVER had any responsibilities’; “Let me just tell my boss that I have no responsibilities while I’m bleeding.”
