Rick Harrison, the leading star of the reality series Pawn Stars, underwent emergency bypass surgery just eight months after marrying a woman nearly twenty years his junior.
The 61-year-old History Channel star was undergoing a routine stent procedure when doctors discovered a more serious problem that required bypass surgery, a spokesperson for his family said. TMZ on Friday.
The surgery was a success and the Pawn Stars cast member is now resting comfortably as he works toward a full recovery, the insider said.
Representatives told the publication that he is grateful for the treatment and care he has received from the hospital’s doctors and staff.
One of the people who stood by him during the trial was his much younger new wife Angie Polushkin, 42.
The two married in January, with an Elvis Presley impersonator presiding over the wedding at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas.

Harrison and Polushkin told it People in a joint statement at the time that they were “so excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife and celebrate with friends and family in Las Vegas.”
The newlyweds added: “It’s been such an adventure already and we’re looking forward to it.”
Harrison told TMZ after the ceremony in January: “I’m glad we made it official and look forward to our celebration in Cancun later this month.”
Harrison, who used a 6.5-carat ring to propose to Polushkin, said he was “lucky” to be able to call her his new bride, who works as a nurse in Las Vegas.
The Sin City-based businessman/reality star added of his wife, “She’s the best.”
After the ceremony, Rick, his new husband and their loved ones celebrated at his restaurant: Rick’s Rollin Smoke BBQ and Tavern.
Harrison had no witness present at the wedding ceremony, a spokesperson for the reality star told TMZ.
Harrison’s costar Chumlee was not in attendance, while his son Corey lives in Mexico, the outlet reported.

According to TMZ, Harrison’s granddaughter Elizabeth Harrison attended the wedding.
Harrison and Polushkin announced in March 2025 that they were getting engaged.
At the time, he posted on Instagram from a Chilean getaway with the caption, “She said yes!”
Polushkin posted on her account a carousel of photos, revealing details of the engagement in the caption.
“We visited a beautiful winery in Chile and Rick got down on one knee,” she said.

Harrison has been married four times before: he was married to ex-wife Tracy Harrison, with whom he shares son Jake; and to ex-wife Kim Harrison, with whom he fathered two sons: Corey and late son Adam (who tragically died in 2024 at the age of 39 due to accidental fentanyl and methamphetamine poisoning).
Harrison was also married to ex-wife Deanna Burditt until their divorce in 2020; and to ex-wife Amanda Palmer from 2021-2023.
The new year seems to be starting on a positive note for the reality star, who has experienced a series of family tragedies over the past decade.
They also include the death of his mother Joanne Harrison at the age of 85 in November 2025; and the death of his father Richard Harrison from Parkinson’s disease at the age of 77 in June 2018.
