Nikki Glaser revealed that she was one of the lucky 1,000 to receive an invitation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and her only regret was not taking home a souvenir.
The 42-year-old comedian joked that she came “very close to stealing” one item during her Friday night residency at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, per We weekly.
It was a cake topper that looked like Kelce and would have fit in her bag if a voice that sounded like Tom Cruise’s hadn’t told her not to.
“I was really close to stealing something because I was like, ‘I want a cool artifact of this,’” Glaser described. ‘It was late at night. Everyone is a little drunk and dancing on the dance floor. And I’m back to the cake, vaping. I look at the cake and on the top tier, where the two little cake toppers are, it just says Travis.
“I’m reaching up, I get it. It’s two seconds before I put it in my bag. It’s almost there, and then I hear Tom Cruise say, ‘Put me down!’ she said facetiously, referring to the Top Gun actor’s reported 6-foot-4 height. “I’m like, ‘Oh my, God!’
Swift and Kelce, both 36, exchanged vows on July 3 in an extravagant, star-studded ceremony officiated by Adam Sandler with guests including Selena Gomez, Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper, Beyonce and Jay-Z, Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Miranda Lambert, Hugh Grant, Steven Spielberg, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lopez, Cruise and Adam Scott, who revealed what surprised him about the couple’s wedding.

Glaser started her comedy act by describing how she got invited to the biggest event of the year even though she wasn’t a close personal friend of Swift or Kelce.
“I want to say that three months ago I went to a wedding at Madison Square Garden,” Glaser told the crowd. ‘I just want to talk about it. Supposedly – I can’t actually say I was there legally or a sniper’s dot will appear on my forehead.”
The comedy star even became a mega-fan after first meeting Swift backstage during the Red Tour in 2012, and later noticing E! News how ‘nice and handsome’ the singer was after such a huge show.
“I’m a huge Swiftie, probably the biggest Swiftie at that event,” Glaser continued Friday evening. ‘If you’re a Swiftie, you’ll understand: I got a text inviting me to the wedding. I never in a million years thought I would be invited. I don’t even know them, but I’ve been invited and I’m shaking as I open the door [the message]. I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I want to tell everyone I know.’
Glaser received her invitation by text message, just like everyone else, and followed the instructions to a T. And like everyone else, Glaser signed a non-disclosure agreement to maintain strict privacy around the ceremony.
“I obviously didn’t tell anyone, I was too scared to do that,” she admitted.
“So I’m going to the wedding. I’ve been there for twelve hours and none of my family or friends know where I am. I’m off the grid for 12 hours,” Glaser said. “They’re texting me, my location is disabled. They all thought I committed suicide because I wasn’t invited. I was actually inside and had nothing to show because I had to hand in my phone.”
A mandatory mobile phone check had been introduced at the entrance.
“I look up at the cake and on the top tier, where the two little cake toppers are, it’s just Travis,” Glaser continued her joke. Above, Glaser on May 25 at the American Music Awards in Las Vegas

Glaser continued, “I go in and I don’t have any pictures. It sucks because it was the best night of my life as a Swiftie, the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. The purest love I’ve ever seen, and I don’t have any pictures [and] no evidence.”
Glaser wasn’t able to get the perfect wedding keepsake, but she did work with Lopez during the glitzy affair that left many of the guests with no plus-one, no publicist and no assistant.
“J.Lo was alone,” the stand-up comedian recalled. “I know J.Lo a little bit, so I was like, ‘Hey!’ And she said, ‘Oh my God, Nikki,’ and she threw her jacket at me.
“I was just carrying her stuff around,” she said, adding that they went to the bathroom together. “We were friends all night.”
