A new source of tension has reportedly emerged behind the scenes of The Block.
House 5 contestant Tayla, 32, is said to have regularly invited guests to the property, with some of her co-stars reportedly growing frustrated with the late visitors.
While guests are not specifically banned during filming, sources claim that Tayla’s social life became a talking point among the cast, with some participants reportedly preferring to use the property as a place to rest after long days at work.
“Tayla is sociable, outgoing and likes to have a good time, but not everyone enjoyed it as much as she did,” an insider said New idea magazine.
‘Other participants occasionally had relatives or close friends visit, but generally they kept to themselves as they wanted to rest after a hard day’s work.’
The source claims that the situation became particularly difficult when visitors arrived late or the noise continued well into the night, leaving some participants tired for another demanding day on the ground.

‘It started to feel like a real share house. People were kept awake, wondering who was invited and quietly complaining to each other the next day,” the insider added.
However, the source claims that Tayla herself was unaware that some of her co-stars were unhappy.
“Tayla was unaware that others in the house were not on board,” she added.
“She was having fun and living her life, but the others felt there should be boundaries.”
The alleged tension also put Tayla’s father and teammate Rick, 63, in an awkward position, with the source claiming he was uncomfortable with some of the attention surrounding his daughter.
Despite the reported frustration, Tayla’s fellow Blockheads are said to have avoided confronting her directly, opting instead to not create a new source of conflict during the already intense renovation competition.
The alleged accommodation drama isn’t the only controversy surrounding Tayla this season, with the House 5 contestant also coming under scrutiny over her approach to the competition.
She will reportedly cause even more shockwaves on the ground with a series of bold decisions made while her father is away.
