Jesy Nelson introduced her new boyfriend Ben Davies to the showbiz world on Tuesday evening as they enjoyed a date night at the NTAs, weeks after going public.
The 35-year-old singer had walked the red carpet solo earlier that evening, but it wasn’t until the camera panned to her during the ceremony that there was a quick flash of her new husband Ben sitting next to her.
He looked at her proudly when her documentary Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix was shortlisted for an NTA Award in the Authored Documentary category. Our Girls: The Southport Families won that category.
Jesy has been praised for helping to convince the government to announce a national rollout to screen newborns for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) after her twins, Ocean and Story, 16 months, were diagnosed with the rare genetic condition.
Jesy looked fantastic as she walked the red carpet in the evening, wearing a black Jessica Rabbit style dress with a plunging sweetheart neckline.
She paired it with matching long black PVC gloves and showed off her leg through a long thigh split as she posed for photos.

Jesy launched her new relationship with her boyfriend Ben ‘hard’ by sharing the first photo of him on her Instagram page at the end of August.
The singer is dating Ben after her split from her ex Zion Foster and she posted a photo of him driving a Range Rover while holding her hand. Zion is also in a new relationship.
Ben was dressed in all black and his tattooed arms were visible, while only Jesy’s outstretched arm and hand were visible in the sweet image.
This was the first time Ben’s face appeared on her platform, after she previously shared a sneak peek of their date last month.
Earlier this month it was reported that one of Jesy and Ben’s dates was thwarted when they were allegedly kicked out of a swanky bar.
The former Little Mix star, who shares her children with her ex Zion, was first pictured with the landscaper, with whom she put on a romantic show.
They started the evening with a quiet trip to My Old Dutch Pancake House before heading to Madison at St Paul’s bar, where The Sun reported a fight ensued.
In video obtained by the publication, a large group was involved in an argument after Ben allegedly “got in people’s faces,” after which they were asked to leave and “the situation got quite heated as the men yelled at the bouncers.”
The insider insisted that Jesy was trying to “de-escalate the situation,” while Ben reportedly “came across as a ‘Do you know who I am?’.”
The Daily Mail contacted Jesy’s representatives for comment at the time.
Earlier this month, Jesy teased Ben as she showed off a man’s tattooed arm on the far left of an image posted to Jesy’s Instagram Stories, as the pair enjoyed drinks in a chic rooftop garden.
The couple have now enjoyed their hard launch during their date in Soho where they couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
The altercation was undoubtedly an unpleasant addition to a rare day off from parenting for Jesy, who is currently campaigning tirelessly to raise awareness of Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA).
Ocean and Story were diagnosed with the rare muscle-wasting condition in January, shortly before Jesy and Zion announced their split.
In her recent Amazon Prime documentary, Jesy spoke in detail about the split, saying: ‘It’s very traumatic what we’ve both been through. I think it’s completely inevitable that things like this happen to couples. I don’t think it’s a shock that we broke up…
“You’re either a team or it will tear you apart and unfortunately I think that’s what it’s done to me and Zion. We’re still going, there’s no bad feeling. My main priority is them. I just want to be the best mother with the best energy and positivity possible…

“The house wasn’t like this when we were together. We both handle this situation very differently, and together we were clashing. I decided we would be better off if we broke up. It’s hard. Now it’s just me and mom.”
SMA can cause babies to become unable to sit, crawl or walk. In the most severe cases, it leaves them unable to breathe or swallow, but treatment caught early enough can significantly improve outcomes for affected children.
Testing is done by means of a simple heel prick, during which a small blood sample is taken from the baby shortly after birth.
Jesy explained how proud she is that her daughters’ story has paved the way for change and continued: ‘I’m super proud that my girls’ story is part of the change and I can’t wait when they get a little older and understand that they can tell that to them.
“I’ve always said I want this to be their little superpower and I think now I can let them know that if they understand.”
After the first decision in parliament last month, Jesy was seen choking back tears as she told interviewers: ‘I’ll be completely honest, I was absolutely furious. I feel so abandoned.’
And reflecting on the emotional day, she told the Daily Mail: ‘I’m such a big manifester. I truly believe that if you put your mind to it and put it out there, you can make it happen.
‘But I think I was devastated when I went to Parliament and they said they weren’t going to roll it out across Britain. I was absolutely devastated.’
