A Channel 4 An employee was found dead in a Welsh seaside resort after traveling more than 110 miles from home, an inquest heard.
Television librarian Lolita Visa, 32, described as ‘a joy to be around’, was pulled from the sea in Llandudno, North Wales, on August 26.
An inquest was told she had traveled from Halifax, West Yorkshire, to visit her father in Manchester in the days before her death.
She then went to Liverpool and on to Llandudno, where she sent pictures of both to her father, it was heard.
Ms. Visa was reported missing West Yorkshire Police by concerned family members after she was last heard from on August 22.
North Wales Police were alerted on August 25 and a search for Ms Visa ensued.
Coroner John Gittins said a member of the public called HM Coastguard the following day to report seeing a body in the water off the seaside resort.
Mr Gittins said: “The deceased was taken on board the lifeboat and transported there [the] lifeboat station.’

The hearing was told that a post-mortem examination found injuries ‘consistent with the time he had been immersed in water’.
Her inquest was postponed until a date to be determined.
Ms Visa’s social media profiles show she was employed as a digital media librarian for Channel 4, having previously worked for streaming company Dazn.
Her family has since launched a fundraising campaign to cover the costs of her funeral.
Relative Wiktoria Januszewska wrote on the page: ‘Her loss has left us all heartbroken and we are faced with the difficult task of arranging her funeral.
‘We are asking for money to be raised to give her the send-off she deserves, and to cover all costs associated with transporting her to Latvia, because that is where she is from and we want her to be home.
“We were never prepared or expected this to happen, and we are not in a financial position to be able to pay for everything ourselves.
‘If you knew Lolita, we hope you remember her as she was and hold her memories close to you. She was bubbly and a pleasure to be around, she had stories for days to share about her travels and where she was.
‘Any donation will help, and if you are unable to donate, simply sharing her story so it reaches more people will help us. On behalf of the family, we thank you.”
A Channel 4 spokesperson said: ‘We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the death of our colleague Lola Visa.
‘Lola was a digital media librarian in the 4Studio team, based in Leeds. She joined Channel 4 in 2022 and has been an active part of the Channel 4 community.
“Our thoughts are with Lola’s family, friends and colleagues at this terribly sad time.”
