Charlie’s Angels alum Jaclyn Smith opens up about her first marriage to actor Roger Davis in her new memoir, claiming he cheated on her with their real estate agent.
The 80-year-old actress, who played Kelly Garrett in the iconic series, was married to 87-year-old Davis from 1968 to 1975.
Speak with People Speaking about her book I Once Knew a Guy Named Charlie, Smith said Tuesday that she believed she and Davis were “a match made in Heaven” after they initially crossed paths during a 1968 casting call.
She said of her connection with Davis, “Neither of us drank, we liked architecture, we were both actors, we were both from the South, we liked the same food.
‘We liked everything for a while, but boy, did I still have a lot to learn.’
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Smith for further comment on the story.

Smith wrote in her memoir that in the incident involving the real estate agent, she had lunch with a friend in New York City and wanted to show her friend an apartment that she and Davis were “about to rent.”
Smith wrote: ‘After we paid the bill, I said, “Let’s go upstairs. I’ll show you.”
The actress said that on the way to the apartment, she and her boyfriend ran into Hollywood icon Warren Beatty, whom she called “the leading man” at the time.
Beatty had asked Smith if she would have liked to work on an upcoming project, the actress wrote, telling her, “You know, I’d like you to come in for an interview. I’m working on a new movie and maybe I have a role for you.’
Smith wrote in her book that Davis then “appeared out of nowhere and approached our group” and told Beatty that she “only does commercials.”
According to Smith, the revelation involving the real estate agent, whose name was Laura, occurred after Laura’s husband proposed to her.
When she said no, he then told her that Davis and his wife were having an affair, Smith wrote, adding that the news was confirmed by Laura herself after she asked her directly.
Smith said in the book, “I couldn’t imagine how two people I trusted could have betrayed me for so long.

“Laura told me to my face what she had done, but I still couldn’t believe it.”
She said the real estate agent said to her, “Do you remember the day you ran into Warren Beatty outside the apartment and Roger suddenly appeared on the street outside your door?” He had been upstairs in the apartment and had sex with me.”
Smith wrote that Davis denied the infidelity and claimed Laura was “just jealous” of her.
Speaking to People, Smith said the revelation marked the moment she knew their relationship was doomed.
“I mean, I was pretty naive and in love with love, but there is a limit,” she told the publication. “If the paint starts to peel, get away because it won’t change.”
In the book, she said she essentially lived in a state of “denial” in her efforts to keep the marriage together.
“Denial, I discovered, can be tempting,” she wrote. ‘At that moment blind belief was easier than the truth. And some truths must be seen to be believed. My options then were to leave Roger, after only two years of marriage, and be humiliated by my own naivety, or to give the man I loved the benefit of the doubt and hope I had made the right decision.”
Smith wrote that she “chose the latter,” although she and Davis would divorce years later.
The actress has been married to husband Brad Allen, 72, for more than 28 years.
