Tyson Fury has taken apart Anthony Joshua‘Love’ for England and a desire to fight his great boxing rival on home soil – trumpeting his speech which appears to be calling for a freeze on spending in white-owned shops.
Fury, 38, and 36-year-old Joshua are locked in a bitter tug-of-war over their heavyweight superfight – largely centered on a debate over who will host it at London’s Wembley Stadium or at the broadcaster Netflix‘s choice for Madison Square Garden New York City.
Yesterday, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said Wembley talks had been ‘reopened’ weeks after the November fight looked set to be finalized in New York – in what has become a crusade to keep the event ‘at home’ for the two fighters.
But today Fury wanted to make it clear that Joshua is not motivated by love for his country. Earlier this year, Daily Mail Sport revealed that Joshua had actually left Britain to move to Dubai – even as thousands tried to flee amid rising panic in the Middle East war zone.
And Fury, himself a tax exile to the Isle of Man, gave a speech in 2020 at a Black lives matter March, where Joshua read a letter from his friend Reece Campbell urging attendees to stop spending money at white-owned stores and businesses.
“Show them where it hurts,” Joshua had said. “Don’t spend your money in their stores and economies, and invest in black-owned businesses.”

Fury reposted the video of the speech, writing: ‘This is the man who loves England, absolute s*** bag! A total piece of bully with no guts! Don’t let them mislead you! & Living in Dubai.’
Speaking to the camera, Fury accused Joshua of trying to derail their fight to avoid embarrassment: ‘If I agreed to tie both hands behind my back and wear sturdy cement boots, Anthony Joshua would never enter the ring with me because I will destroy him.
“And he’s a goddamn bully, and that’s his game: to bully people like he tried to do to Daniel Dubois, and he got beaten to death.
‘The latest from them is: ‘Tyson doesn’t want to fight in England’. Why the hell wouldn’t I want to fight in England, you sausage? “Tyson only wants to fight in America.” Are you kidding or something?
“Tyson is not in charge of this fight. Tyson didn’t put the money down for this fight. Tyson is not the paymaster. Being Netflix and Turki Al-Sheikh. Sweet. If it’s in England, even better. I’ll knock that bastard out faster. Prime time England, 10am, Wembley Stadium, 100,000 people. Why the hell wouldn’t I want it in England? Makes no sense, right?
“Like I said, who do you think you are? You and your little sad doll Eddie Hearn are trying to save your ass. There’s no way around it, you know. I’m coming to Watford (Joshua’s hometown) and I’m going to you. I’ll beat you in your own front yard, you piece of shit.’

Fury bellowed out his title of ‘Gypsy King’, adding: ‘You go down and the cash cow is eliminated. Because after this he will never be able to show his face in public again.
“You’re a useless dosser, a big piece of bodybuilding. Too many weights, not enough speed. If I crack out a big right hook, you’ll go over it like spaghetti legs Deontay Wilder. But he’s ten times the man you’ll ever be, ’cause he got some b*****ks like King Kong, and you got some b*****ks like two fucking garden peas, you piece of shit.”
Joshua still hasn’t signed his contract for the Battle of Britain fight. Promoter Frank Warren, who suggested boxing’s longest running deal should be completed this weekend, told Daily Mail Sport’s Jeff Powell: ‘AJ hasn’t signed yet.
“Tyson signed in January. He’s training in Miami for the fight in early November and he doesn’t care where it takes place.”
The original agreement included England, which put Wembley Stadium on alert.
But Netflix, the mega paymasters of broadcasting, have joined their Saudi partners in pushing for New York’s legendary Madison Square Garden to maximize U.S. revenue.
Joshua needs at least a two-month training camp for a fight of this magnitude, and ideally nine to ten weeks.
It comes after Joshua was given 10 days to agree a deal on August 26, with Warren previously warning: ‘Unless AJ commits at the end of next week I’m afraid this will slip away like so many of those great fights that never happened.’
He added: ‘At some point everyone has to say the most important thing is that it happens. Not this stuff about money.
‘That everyone wants the fight. Does AJ really want it? Don’t know. He experienced the tragedy of the car accident that killed two of his best friends. Only he knows what he wants.’
Much of the discussion around Wembley centers on the willingness to allow a late start time – and a late curfew – to suit the US TV market. Mayor Sadiq Khan stated this week that he would like to host the fight and find a solution.
