Ethan Hawke made his most recent red carpet appearance a family affair.
On Friday, the 55-year-old actor was supported by his wife Ryan Shawhughes and their teenage daughter Indiana, 15, at the Deauville American Film Festival.
In addition to being honored at the festival in Deauville, France, Hawke kicked off opening night with the premiere of his upcoming film, The Weight.
For the event, Hawke, one of the celebrity guests attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, wore an all-black suit in collaboration with his wife.
The couple’s teenage daughter, Hawke’s youngest child, stood out in contrast as she wore a white dress and coral pink cardigan.
The family walked the red carpet together, with Hawke wrapping his arms around both Shawhughes and Indiana for photos.

Hawke was recognized for his acting, writing and film careers on opening night when he received the festival’s coveted Deauville Talent Award on Friday.
After the awards ceremony, Hawke and his family went to the premiere of The Weight.
The upcoming historical drama stars Hawke as Samuel Murphy, a man who is “imprisoned in a labor camp run by an unscrupulous overseer.”
The story follows him as he “becomes entangled in a dangerous gold smuggling scheme in his quest to regain custody of his daughter.”
In the Padraic McKinley-directed film, Hawke stars alongside Russell Crowe, Julia Jones, Austin Amelio, Avi Nash, George Burgess and many more.
The Weight will be released in theaters later this month, on September 18.

Hawke is the father of four children, two from his former relationship and two with his wife Ryan.
The actor shares daughter Maya Hawke, 28, and son Levon, 24, with ex-wife Uma Thurman.
Hawke and his current wife Ryan share daughters Clementine, 18, in addition to Indiana.
He was previously married to Thurman, whom he met on the set of the 1996 film Gattaca from 1998 to 2005.
Hawke and Thurman’s marriage ended amid rumors that he had an affair with Shawhughes, Maya and Levon’s nanny when they were younger.
Hawke has repeatedly denied the speculation.

Late last year, Hawke opened up about his divorce and trying marriage again, tying the knot with Shawhughes.
“The public eye is like gasoline, but what makes divorce difficult are the things that make it difficult for everyone — the family elements, how to help the kids through it,” he told the New York Times in November 2025.
“I’m so jealous of people who have amicable splits,” he added before ending the topic of the discussion as he “vowed to [his] children are not allowed to talk about it publicly.
“When I separated, I was determined not to have any more children and wanted to remain single for the rest of my life,” he said. “But then I got a best friend and I enjoyed kissing her.”
