Five years ago, the media personality spoke about her eight-month weight loss journey in an Instagram post.

The former View host showed off her significant weight loss and said finding “peace” helped her shed extra weight.

She was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2007, which she says “changed her life,” but it wasn’t until 2018 that she started taking her health more seriously.

It followed two custody battles over her two children, sons Jeffrey, 21, and Lamar, 12.

Shepherd wrote in a caption, “I started this weight loss journey eight months ago, but making other changes in my life helped me shed even more pounds.”

She then detailed hacks for self-improvement, including removing negativity from her life.

The multihyphenate said she was “sleeping consistently,” meditating and “seeking a great therapist” to help her process emotional pain and forgive people who hurt her.

She also credited her transformation with drinking more water and walking, before declaring, “Peace makes the weight fall off.”

Speaking on the subject of her new Lifetime movie, out September 12, Shepherd shared Hello Beautiful: ‘[Genelle] was buried alive for 27 hours, buried under 4 meters of concrete.

“The film is about how she found God.”

She added, “It was truly an honor to bring to life Genelle Guzman-McMillan’s journey as she was buried alive for 27 hours to find her purpose and an unwavering faith.”

Earlier this year, the comedian’s talk show was canceled after four seasons.

Co-presidents of Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury sector, Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus, released a statement at the time saying, “This decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and is not reflective of the strength of the show, its production – which has found strong creative momentum this season – or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd.”

It added, “We believe in this show and Sherri and plan to explore alternatives to it on other platforms.”

Sherri launched in fall 2022, replacing the timeslot originally held by Wendy Williams’ show, which aired for 13 seasons.
