Scott Wolf’s estranged wife Kelley publicly apologized to him for putting him — and their family — through a “nightmare” amid their ongoing divorce and legal troubles.
In a long message shared with Instagram On Friday, the life coach revealed she had been diagnosed with ‘breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis’ after a serious mental health crisis.
Kelley, 49, admitted that nothing she had said in the past was “based on truth or reality.”
“Wow…I took about 100 deep breaths to write this. How do I even start? “It’s been a year since I realized what everyone around me could see: I wasn’t doing well and I needed help,” she began, months after the couple reunited for a family day at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
“It felt like my brain had been hijacked and the world was moving at the speed of a freight train.”
In June 2025, Wolf, 58, filed for divorce from Kelley after 21 years of marriage.

In a lengthy post shared to Instagram on Friday, the life coach revealed that she was diagnosed with “game-changing drug-induced mania with psychosis” after a serious mental health crisis.
Shortly afterwards, Kelley suffered a serious psychological breakdown, which led to an involuntary psychiatric seizure and erratic behavior on social media.
The Party of Five alum was granted temporary custody of their three children and a temporary protective order, which was later dissolved after a brief agreement.
Subsequently, in August 2025, Kelley was arrested and charged with online harassment and doxxing after she shared Wolf’s personal cell phone number on her Instagram account.
Subsequent protective orders were reimposed following the latest escalation of events, before Wolf dropped the order in late 2025 after reaching new custody and visitation conditions.
Kelley voluntarily entered a mental health facility in September and said during a court hearing, “My brother is taking me. It’s fantastic. It’s a great place. As a mental health professional myself, I’ve recommended it all the time, so on September 12th I’ll be there for a month. I hope that helps.’
“I was not aware of my actions,” Kelley shared in her recent Instagram post, adding that she was “completely delusional.”
“After a year of working with amazing doctors, therapists, psychologists and healers, I have an answer,” she continued.
‘What I experienced was diagnosed as a breakthrough, drug-induced mania with psychosis… caused by stress, past trauma, hormonal shifts and hallucinogens mixed with prescription medications.

“A perfect storm,” Kelley added.
“I won’t tell the whole mess, but what burdens my soul is my need to say… I’m so sorry.”
Kelley then addressed Wolf directly with a sincere apology.
“My husband of 20 years experienced a nightmare that wouldn’t even appear in a movie script; it was so brutal,” she shared. “The things I did, said, wrote and posted caused great harm and were not based in truth or reality, and they caused pain I could never imagine to the people I love most.
‘My brain turned against me. During my illness I made accusations and did things that made me shudder. I have believed in love, hope, kindness and compassion all my life. What I became was the opposite: cruel. Mean. Mean… In mania and psychosis, people can attack those they love most and believe in grandiose and delusional ideas.”
Kelley stated that she will “never be the same” after the things she said and did “caused tremendous pain.”
“Scott and my kids…There won’t be a day that I don’t thank God for you. That I caused you pain and that I am the reason why you suffered will haunt me for the rest of my life.
“My job was to protect you, honor you, and keep you safe, and I became the cause of your heartbreak. I’m sorry. You never gave up on me, and you fought like hell until you landed me in a safe haven. I owe you my life.”

She added, “I will work hard to use this life to leave it better, to pay it forward and to never give up on the power of love. To all of you who offered support, love, encouragement and hope… you gave us strength and showed us that we are all more loving than cruel. Thank you.’
Kelley also apologized to friends and family in Park City, Utah.
“This has been our home for 20 years, and hurting you was like setting my own house on fire,” she said. “Thank you for loving our family and continuing to prove why this is a place where we have found the meaning of home. I’m sorry. Your grace has humbled me.”
Wolf responded to Kelley’s public apology by leaving five red heart emojis in the comments.
In February, Wolf and Kelley reunited for a family day at Universal Studios Hollywood.
“Healing,” he wrote on Instagram at the time with a family photo. ‘Thank you @unistudios for an epic day in the park! So much fun!’
In October last year, Wolf also shared a birthday tribute to his estranged wife, writing, “Happy Birthday.”
