Sandra Bullock has admitted she dreads posing next to her ‘goddess’ Practical Magic 2 co-star Nicole Kidman at red carpet events.
The Hollywood stars are currently halfway through their press tour, ahead of the film’s UK release in the US on September 11 and 12.
Sandra, 62, and Nicole, 59, added a touch of glamor at the London premiere last month as they stunned in glamorous dresses.
Despite looking and feeling her best, Sandra says the star-studded ceremonies are a “nightmare” because she often feels “like she doesn’t belong there.”
Speaking about the Hang well With Amy Poehler podcast, Sandra shared: ‘I was looking at the pictures from the London premiere and I was like, ‘I’m not a red carpet girl.’

Sandra explained: ‘I agree with you, the outfits are great. It was the incredible stylists who worked on this that made me feeling comfortable in my body. From my neck down, I was so taken care of.

‘Then I stepped on the red carpet and I thought, ‘Okay, I’ve got this. I’m going to pretend, I’ll solve it’
‘So Warner Brothers says, “We want you to approve some of these shots so we can get them on social media.” I say, “Great.” Because by the end I was like, “I did it. I did it really well. You know, I loved everything from here.” And then I said, “What’s my face doing?”
‘I thought, “Why do I have a smelly face?” I look like I’m smelling something and I’m thinking, “What happened? That’s not what I felt.”
Sandra added: ‘It’s a nightmare. We don’t belong on a red carpet. There should be a comedy red carpet, I think we should argue for a comedy red carpet.”
‘Nicole is a goddess. Can we just remove her from everything we’re doing?’ she noted.
Set more than 25 years after the original film, the sequel’s plot is adapted from Alice Hoffman’s 2021 follow-up story, The Book of Magic.
The new film also stars Joey King and Maisie Williams, while Nicole reprises her role as Sally Owens and Sandra as her sister Gillian, who were raised as witches and are usually at the center of town gossip.
The film appropriately introduces the next generation of the family, Sandra’s on-screen daughters Kylie and Antonia, played by Joey and Maisie respectively.
Executive produced by Warner Bros, the film will also star Lee Pace and Solly McLeod.

“The Owens women must reunite and travel from their home in Massachusetts to Britain to confront the source of their magic and save the next generation of their family,” the film’s synopsis reads.
The two leading women surprised fans when they showed up for a Cinespia screening of their 1998 film at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles earlier this month.
A behind-the-scenes video clip shared to Instagram showed the crowd erupting with excitement after the women took the stage.
At the event Sandra said: ‘Practical Magic is the perfect film to show in a cemetery,” according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.
Meanwhile, Nicole thanked the audience for their support in “making this second film coming to you soon.”
Nicole confirmed in 2024 that she and Sandra would reprise their roles as orphaned sisters Gillian and Sally – who come from a long line of witches.
The girls were raised by their eccentric aunts, played by Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest, who embraced their magical history.
Akiva Goldsman, who co-wrote the 1998 script, returned to write the sequel with Kelly Marcel and Georgia Pritchett.
Both Nicole and Sandra were producers, led by Susanne Bier.
