Right-wing pundit Milo Yiannopoulos, who used to be Kanye West’s chief of staff and is now his publicist, has reportedly been arrested by ICE.
Sources claim the British rioter has been taken into custody at a Louisiana airport, with detainee records showing he is now in a detention center there, via TMZ.
His reasons for traveling to the state remain unconfirmed, although West will perform Friday at the Superdome in New Orleans.
Since his rise to fame as a commentator on public affairs, Yiannopoulos has been a staunch supporter of immigration restrictions and mass deportations.
He stated in 2017 that he was living in America on an O-1 non-immigrant visa, which is granted to aliens with “extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business or athletics,” according to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services policy manual.
