OJ Simpson’s Bank of America Credit Card is auctioned for over $10k… as seller says he’s ‘donating 10 percent of proceeds to National Network to End Domestic Violence’

OJ Simpson’s Bank of America credit card has been auctioned off for more than $10,000, about two weeks after his death.

Simpson died of prostate cancer on April 10 at the age of 76, marking the end of a life that included a Hall of Fame NFL career but also an infamous murder case.

And on Thursday, Simpson’s former bank card sold for $10,675 Goldin Auctions.

The ‘business account’ card is red, with photos showing it expired in January of last year.

Simpson was, of course, accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994.

Ironically, the card’s seller, Jonathan Lepore, plans to donate 10 percent of the proceeds to the National Network to End Domestic Violence, he said. TMZ.

Lepore told the website that he would initially gift the card to his friend’s father, who dated OJ and Nicole in the ’80s and ’90s.

Goldin received 63 bids on the item.

Despite his storied college and professional football career, Simpson’s alma mater USC and the NFL remained silent after his death.

USC coach Lincoln Riley uttered the university’s only prominent words about Simpson’s death during his normal spring football media availability.

“As a head coach here, you definitely know his history and his legacy, the type of player he was here,” Riley said. “We certainly recognize that, and of course extend our condolences to his family for their loss.”

The 1968 Heisman winner had not been with the team since the murders of Brown and Goldman until he visited the USC practice in Fort Lauderdale in late 2002.

Pete Carroll called Simpson “a legend” after welcoming him, but the coach and school received widespread public condemnation for dealing with Simpson again.

His connection with USC was largely terminated from then on, especially after his subsequent nine-year incarceration for armed robbery.
