Matt Hancock’s girlfriend, Gina Coladangelo, flew out of Brisbane Airport on Tuesday after her MP partner made it to the I’m A Celebrity final.

The lobbyist, 45, kept things casual in a white camisole and jeans as she chatted with Queen of the Jungle Jill Scott and her fiancé Shelly Unitt.

She framed her face in oversized sunglasses as she lugged her essentials in an oversized peach leather handbag.

Gina wore a green sweater and completed her look with a pair of white sneakers, while Jill wore a sleeveless top and heart print jeans.

It comes after Gina and Matt attend the series wrap party.

The pair matched in white for the celebratory dinner at luxury seafood restaurant La Luna Marina Mirage, when it was revealed that Matt received a 21% split of the final vote.

Gina showed off her slim figure in her halter neck jumpsuit, paired with a bright pink bag and golden sandals.

Matt had had time to wash off the jungle grime when he emerged from the campmates’ luxury hotel in a crisp white shirt and jeans.

He finished in third place at Sunday night’s final, which saw Lioness Jill Scott crowned Jungle Queen after beating Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner into second place.

The ITV show revealed how the public voted in the final, with winner Jill receiving 47.29% of the vote, Owen receiving 30.99% and Matt finishing with 21.72%.

After Matt left and a vote had to be taken between the final two, winner Jill received a 57.66% majority, while Owen received 42.34%.

In the final episode, the three campmates each entered a Bushtucker Trial to win five stars each and their dream party later that night.

The next morning they were greeted by Ant and Dec who announced the winner of the 2022 series.

Leaving the Australian jungle, Matt was reunited with his girlfriend Gina and the pair shared a close hug and kiss on the iconic bridge.

As they hugged, an overwhelmed Matt was heard saying “I love you so much” to his partner, who had traveled over 9,000 miles to greet the Tory MP.

The politician defied all odds in making it to the grand final and admitted after leaving that he decided to go into the jungle because he wanted to show the “lighter side” of his personality.

After leaving, he spoke to presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly about his time in the camp and said he decided to join the show because he said politicians are not seen as ‘human enough’ by the public.

“I just wanted to show who I am as a person. A lot of people come to me with preconceived ideas for obvious reasons, but I just wanted to be myself,” he said.

“Politicians as a whole, we don’t seem human enough. This is an extreme way to do that.’

“People think they know me, but they don’t. They know Matt Hancock from TV and the media,” he added.

Speaking of the controversy surrounding his arrival, Matt admitted he was “nervous” about walking into the jungle and meeting the other celebrities.

He said, “When I first came in, there was only Seann [Walsh], and we got a little dizzy. He makes everyone look good while laughing at everyone’s jokes. When we walked into the main camp and discovered some of the existing dynamics, it was difficult.”

On the show, Matt was famously questioned by ITV newsreader Charlene White about his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and how he broke his own social distancing guidelines when he was caught having an affair with assistant Gina Coladangelo.

Matt said he was “grateful” to his fellow campmates for being able to have “adult conversations” despite their strong feelings, and admitted they also had some “important” discussions about politics and his dyslexia.

He said, “We managed to talk about some important stuff, not just politically scary, but dyslexia, especially with Jill and George about growing up gay, all sorts of interesting conversations.”
