
Amber Eggers, who starred in season 2 of reality show Love After Lockup, has died at the age of 41.
The reality TV star died Thursday evening in an Atlanta hospital after being admitted several days earlier because she was not feeling well, her mother Monica Eggers said. TMZ on Friday.
Monica said doctors could no longer keep Amber’s heart beating and her daughter eventually died with the cause of death being acute liver failure.
According to the Mayo Clinicis acute liver failure ‘loss of liver function that occurs rapidly – over days or weeks – usually in someone who does not have pre-existing liver disease.’
The nonprofit medical center also says it is usually caused by a hepatitis virus or medications, such as acetaminophen, the generic name for the brand-name drug Tylenol.
Eggers famously starred in season 2 of Love After Lockup, which aired in 2019.

She dated Vincent Gonzalez on the hit show, which airs on We TV, while she was still in prison and they even got engaged.
However, they tried to make things work after her release from prison but couldn’t get over how uncomfortable it felt together and eventually ended their relationship, as documented on the show.
Love After Lockup is a reality series in which couples meet their future spouses for the first time once they are no longer behind bars.
The show was quite a hit as it just completed its seventh season on air.
It has also had a few spin-off series, including Life After Lockup and Love While Lockup.
Eggers appeared in season 2 of the We TV series with her former cellmate Michelle ‘Puppy’ Deaton, while they also made guest appearances in other seasons in addition to the aforementioned spin-off Life After Lockup.
Eggers had served four years in prison for drug trafficking.
She managed to largely stay out of trouble after her prison sentence, but she was arrested in December 2024.

The reality star’s charges included DUI, possession of an open container of alcohol, failure to maintain a lane and other traffic violations according to arrest records from The Georgia Gazette.
