Lori Loughlin has filed for divorce from fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli after more than 28 years of marriage.
Last October it emerged that Loughlin and Giannulli, who share daughters Olivia Jade, 26, and Isabella ‘Bella’ Rose, 27, had split.
The former couple infamously served overlapping prison sentences for their role in the “varsity blues” college admissions scandal, which involved their fraudulent means to get their daughters into the University of Southern California (USC).
In her new divorce filing, Loughlin listed their separation date as August 31, 2025 and cited irreconcilable differences as grounds for dissolving their union.
A financial support agreement will be negotiated at some point in the future, Loughlin explained in legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail.
The couple signed a prenuptial agreement on October 28, 1997 – the month before they eloped – and filed an amendment on August 11, 2015.

Loughlin is represented by attorneys Kristina Royce — whose celebrity clientele includes Channing Tatum and Jeff Garlin — and Sarah Luetto.
The Daily Mail has contacted Loughlin’s representatives for comment.
In the initial aftermath of their split, a source claimed that Loughlin left Giannulli after discovering a cache of “incriminating” emails and text messages on his phone.
“Really, the turning point came when Lori found some text messages,” a friend of the Full House actress sensationally claimed. Page six.
“Mossimo had been using Lori for years,” the insider said. “She hoped that maybe he would change when he got out of prison, but it got worse.”
News of the divorce broke hours after a distraught-looking Loughlin shared a comforting hug with her friend and sometimes co-star James Tupper, who was formerly involved with the late Anne Heche, via TMZ.
The day Mossimo’s split from Loughlin was made public, he was spotted in Beverly Hills with 32-year-old stylist Hannah Harrison.
Harrison moved to clarify the nature of their relationship, insisting that her comparison to the fashion designer was strictly “platonic,” via We weekly.
“I feel like it was bad timing,” she said, insisting she met him for work at a store for his G/FORE brand “not knowing his divorce had been announced.”
Giannulli and Loughlin eloped two days before Thanksgiving 1997, two years after she completed her star run on the hit sitcom Full House.
They rose to prominence as a couple due to the college admissions scandal that landed them both behind bars.
In 2019, Loughlin and Giannulli were exposed for bribing their daughters’ admission to USC and paying $500,000 to a fixer to falsely introduce Olivia and Bella as potential rowers on the college team.
The day her parents were indicted, Olivia was vacationing on the yacht of billionaire USC trustee chairman Rick Caruso, who later ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Los Angeles against current incumbent Karen Bass.
She was apparently on the ship with Rick’s daughter Gigi, who was her age and also a freshman at USC, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Olivia and Bella were both accepted to college, but after the scandal over their admissions broke out, it was announced that they were no longer enrolled.
Although Giannulli and Loughlin initially claimed to be innocent, he ultimately pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and honest services and mail fraud, while she pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
Loughlin spent two months in California’s CI Dublin federal prison before being released in December 2020, days before New Year’s.
Meanwhile, Giannulli had to spend five months in prison for his role in the bribery scheme and was eventually released in early April 2021.
After her release, Loughlin showed a sense of humor about the confusion, parodying herself on a 2024 Curb Your Enthusiasm episode in which she attempts to rebuild her reputation after the scandal.
