Justin and Hailey Bieber were among the star attendees at Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas O’Connell’s wedding to Claudia Sulewski in Santa Barbara on Saturday.
And while Justin, 32, posted fun snaps from the event on Instagram, he and his wife, 29, appeared to share an intense moment at one point during the festivities.
The longtime couple spoke animatedly under the Southern California sun, with the model gesticulating in a rather dramatic manner before walking away from her boyfriend.
A rep for Hailey declined to comment and the Daily Mail has not yet heard back from a rep for Justin.
Body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail that “the way Hailey looks back at her husband as he walks away after their animated conversation here gives the impression of tension or drama.”
James added that Justin’s “gently hunched posture and the way his arms hang slightly in front of his torso makes him look less motivated and less positive here.”

However, the expert added that it did not appear the two were arguing, saying: “Hailey waved her arms and pointed, although not at him, so no sign of conflict.”
The couple’s presence at O’Connell and Sulewski’s wedding comes ahead of their own eight-year wedding anniversary next month.
Hailey and Justin married on September 13, 2018 in a New York City courthouse.
The following year they enjoyed a large-scale wedding with family and friends, later documenting the wedding event on YouTube.
Meanwhile, the couple celebrated their son Jack Blues’ second birthday on August 22.
To mark the milestone, Hailey posted a carousel of photos with the toddler on Instagram, captioning it, “Our sweet baby is 2. Congratulations Jack Blues.”
After chatting, the two walked away in opposite directions

In May 2025, Justin shocked fans when he volunteered the details of one of the couple’s private feuds.
He shared a photo of Hailey starring on the cover of Vogue’s summer issue and added an anecdotal Instagram caption that began, “Yo, this reminds me of [of] when Hailey and I got into a fight.”
He shockingly confessed: ‘I told Hails she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yes. I know, so mean.”
The pop star kept saying, “For some reason, because I felt disrespected, I thought, ‘I have to get revenge.’

In a failed attempt to turn the story into a teachable moment, he added, “I think as we get older we realize that we’re not helping anything by taking revenge. Honestly, we’re just extending what we really want, which is intimacy and connection.”
The chilling note concluded: ‘So honey, [you] I already know, but forgive me for saying it [you] wouldn’t get a Vogue cover because I was clearly mistaken.’
His comments didn’t go down well, with thousands of his nearly 300 million Instagram followers begging him to “edit” the post and calling him out for a strange confession.
He eventually swapped the caption for a random set of emojis.
In another worrying public post, marking his first Father’s Day with Jack in June 2025, Justin shared a black and white selfie, writing: “I’m a dad you shouldn’t f*** with,” and adding a middle finger emoji.

And on Mother’s Day last month, the singer wrote: ‘Love you moms but mothers day sucks a**’, as a ‘comment’ on Instagram – a feature that only shows posts to mutual followers.
Weeks after his statement leaked, Hailey used Father’s Day to return the sentiment, writing under one of her husband’s posts, “Father’s Day sucks.”
But this year the mother-of-one celebrated the holiday heartily, honoring her husband as she shared photos of him with Jack and saying he was the “best dad.”
The stars seem to be embracing a positive wave in their marriage this year.
The pair have achieved power couple status and are exerting their influence with back-to-back business partnerships.

The husband and wife have released a co-designed fashion collection under the artist’s latest venture, clothing line SKYLRK.
And in April, they launched joint pimple patches through Hailey’s billion-dollar skincare brand Rhode.
Also in April, Justin completed back-to-back weekends of historic Coachella sets with surprise performances from SZA, Sexyy Red and Big Sean.
After the first weekend, Hailey shared footage of her husband’s duet to SZA’s 2022 hit Snooze on Instagram.
The proud woman also posted a photo with Justin and Jack backstage at the festival site.
‘What a special weekend. No one will ever know an ounce of what it takes to get here. So grateful for this beautiful life. SO proud. Let’s do it all again!!!!’ she said in the caption.
