She said: ‘I’m grateful for each day and I see life differently for sure. Obviously, when presented with something like a cancer diagnosis, her whole world revolves around it, how she will handle it, and the impact on her family, friends, and loved ones.

‘You don’t think too much about the future [but] about getting through things, day by day. I decided very early on that I was going to try to keep a very positive mindset and approach it a bit like a TV project, which was about learning everything.

She went on to detail how she engages in mindful activities, such as journaling and meditating, in an attempt to bring “peace” into her life each day and help ward off any negativity she may face.

She said: ‘I’ve really been working really hard to try to find calm and peace in my life every day. The brain is oriented towards a negative state. We have to lean into a positive state and I have found that practicing gratitude through journaling or meditation really makes me think about the good things in life and approach difficulties in a more positive way.’

The TV personality went on to say that in life people will always be “beset by problems and stress” that cannot be avoided, but that it is “important” to learn how to “manage” those problems.

It comes after Julia revealed that she has “turned her life around” since being diagnosed with breast cancer while documenting her battle with the disease.

The presenter took to Instagram in January to share a video documenting her life since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2021.

Julia, who is married to Gerard Cunningham, later underwent a mastectomy to remove a 6cm tumor a month after publicly announcing her diagnosis.
