Strictly Come Dancing’s Layton Williams says partnership with Nikita Kuzmin may come to an end as they prepare to head on tour together

Layton Williams claims his dancer partnership with Nikita Kuzmin could soon come to an end.

The actor, 29, finished second with his professional dancer Nikita, 26, behind winner Ellie Leach on Strictly Come Dancing last year.

They are now preparing to release their Layton & Nikita – LIVE! on tour together, but it may be the last time fans get to see them perform together.

During an appearance on The One Show on Monday, Bad Education star Layton suggested he might never dance with Nikita again after their upcoming shows.

He said: ‘We’re hopefully going out with a bang and it might be mine and Nikita’s last.’

West End artist Layton announced earlier this month that he would be performing with Nikita in London and Manchester.

He wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘We’re BACK! Absolutely buzzing to ONLY be reunited in Manchester and London for 2 shows!!

‘Come watch us dance together for the last time… I can’t wait. Who’s coming?’

The pair will perform at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Sunday 30 June and at Theater Royal Drury Lane in London on Tuesday 16 July.

During their appearance on The One Show on Monday, they announced that they had added a matinee show in London on July 16.

Layton and Nikita performed as part of the Strictly Come Dancing Live! tour earlier this year and they’re excited to hit the road as a duo.

Nikita said of Layton: ‘As a tour partner he is so good that I wanted to do a tour with him, he is that good.

“Honestly, he’s my best friend, he’s always there for me. He is the one who makes me shine by letting himself shine, so he is the best man to be next to.’

It comes after it was reported that Strictly bosses were not happy with Nikita taking part in Celebrity Big Brother.

Although the professional dancer insisted he asked show bosses if he could join the ITV series, they are not too happy with his decision.

According to the Mirrorthe professional dancer – who came second on the reality show last month – took the ITV gig after being offered more than triple his Strictly fee.

A source said: ‘Nikita is paid more for a few weeks in the CBB house than for a whole series of Strictly – that’s working 12 hours a day, six days a week.

‘But to say Strictly isn’t happy he’s signed up is an understatement.

‘There wasn’t much they could do to stop him as dancers are contracted for each series rather than having an ongoing contract.’

MailOnline contacted Strictly Come Dancing for comment.

Nikita joined Strictly in 2021 as one of four new professionals and was paired with chef Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly Ramsay and former Paralympic swimmer Ellie Simmonds during his time on the programme.

Last year he competed with Layton.
