Jessica Mauboy has revealed the shock price she paid to get iconic American rapper Snoop Dogg to feature on her 2010 hit single Get ‘Em Girls.
The Australian singer, 37, recently appeared on The Mitch Churi Show and stunned the host by revealing she managed to book the legendary artist for a bargain price.
“$50,000! That was nothing back then,” Jessica began.
She added that she had immense respect for the California Gurls artist for agreeing to appear on her song at such a low cost.
‘It was not only important because it was his profession, it was also his credibility! “I respected that, it’s been around for a long time,” she said.
She then revealed what it was like filming a music video with Snoop for the song, which became a hit single in Australia.

‘When Get ‘Em Girls came out it was a different time, I don’t think Australia was ready for it! It was one of the biggest, I was in my prime with Snoop,” she revealed.
“He was in the video, he was doing studio time. He brought his entourage to the music video and was cooking fried chicken! $50,000 is nothing for that!’
Snoop has a huge following in Australia and last year he wowed fans when he performed at the AFL Grand Final in September.
The American hip-hop icon tore through a stunning nine-song set that included a slew of classics and a few surprises.
After a performance by homegrown hip-hop star Baker Boy and the obligatory rendition of Mike Brady’s iconic Up There Cazaly, Snoop wasted no time in getting the crowd in the mood.
Before the event kicked off, Snoop enticed the crowd from the big screen with the help of a Super Bowl-style marching band and a litany of dancers.
Dressed in a crisp white tracksuit with his name on it, Snoop kicked off proceedings with his 1999 collaboration with Dr. Dre, The Next Episode.
Another Dre collab, Nothing But A ‘G’ Thang, followed, followed by his 2004 Billboard chart topper, Drop It Like It’s Hot.

Jessica Mauboy then joined Snoop on stage for a stunning version of his 2003 song Beautiful.
While some viewers had mixed reactions to the star’s performance, the commentary online was overwhelmingly positive, with fans taking to social media to greet the star.
“The King of rap,” one fan raved, while another was critical of the crowd’s reaction to the performance.
“Snoop is wasted on this audience,” they wrote.
However, one fan praised Snoop’s turn as streets ahead of a disastrous AFL performance.
“Snoop is better than Meat Loaf,” they wrote.
