Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend Jim Curtis has given rare insight into the couple’s years-long relationship, revealing how they manage to resolve difficult conflicts.
Curtis, 50, gushed about his 57-year-old superstar squeeze while making an appearance The Jamie Kern Lima Show on Monday, just two days before the couple is set to make their first public appearance together at a book event in New York.
During the performance, Lima asked the hypnotherapist if he and Aniston used a prayer he had previously shared: “I’m sorry. I listen. Thank you. I love you,” which she found helpful with her husband.
“We meditate a lot, we talk a lot,” Curtis said, before clarifying, “We don’t use this particular prayer. We have. But it’s very easy.’
He went on to explain that his relationship with Aniston required a different approach because it is still so new for both of them, while he thought the prayer Lima cited is the best to reduce resistance from couples who have been together for years or decades.
“Jen and I have been together for a year and a half, so this tool is not the first tool we use…” he clarified, adding that they are instead focusing on “meditation, acceptance, understanding.”

The interview was released ahead of the two’s first public appearance together Wednesday at a book event in New York City, where Aniston will interview Curtis, a hypnotherapist, about his new book The Book of Possibility onstage at the 92nd Street Y.
‘Things like that. In the honeymoon phase, your tools don’t have to be like big sledgehammers,” Curtis added.
Elsewhere in the interview, he was delighted that Aniston is doing “very well.”
“My experience with her has been so grounding and so open and caring and kind and loving,” Curtis said of the Morning Show star. “I feel blessed to be in a relationship with someone so open-hearted, kind and loving.”
Aniston has a loyal group of friends, including Friends costar Courteney Cox, Adam Sandler, Jimmy Kimmel and Jason Bateman, and Curtis says he’s now part of the group.
The hypnotherapist describes the close-knit group as “such a beautiful community and group of people” and said he feels “blessed to be part of [of] and welcomed into that family.”
“It really speaks to her – and them – that everyone is so grounded and so kind,” Curtis cooed. “There’s a reason why that whole group and community is so loved.”
Aniston will interview Curtis, a hypnotherapist, on stage at the 92nd Street Y in New York on Wednesday to discuss his new book The Book of Possibility.
Curtis spoke about their relationship shortly after it was claimed his girlfriend was keen on walking him down the aisle following her previous failed marriages to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux.

The event will be part of Curtis’ promotions for his new self-help anthology, The Book Of Possibility, and is expected to sell out as soon as tickets become available to the public.
The event comes as a source said Aniston and Curtis’ romance “succeeds on so many levels because it has things that Jen has never had before.”
Unlike her marriage to Theroux, Aniston is said to be secure enough with Curtis to “not feel like she has to work to impress him or keep him.”
Moreover, Aniston, whose first husband Brad Pitt infamously left her for his later wife Angelina Jolie, “doesn’t feel like she has to compete with other, better-known women who are after Curtis,” the insider said.
“And above all, she never wonders where she stands. He doesn’t hesitate to let her know that he is crazy about her and completely committed.”
Aniston and Curtis’ appearance at the 92nd Street Y comes after she took him to a Friends reunion dinner with Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cos in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

It looked to be a joyous celebration as the star-studded group shared hugs and conversations outside the celebrity-favorite Sunset Tower in West Hollywood.
Meanwhile, Cox took the plunge in a low-cut top, tucked into black trousers for a night out.
Curtis looked rugged and handsome as he slicked back his hair and showed off his jawline with his gray scruff.
Aniston and Curtis were first linked last year while on holiday with friends in Mallorca.
The happy couple celebrated their one-year dating anniversary in May, with a source revealing exclusively to the Daily Mail what the couple did to mark the milestone.
The insider said at the time that Aniston and Curtis were planning to vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico after she finished filming season five of The Morning Show.
“They want to have some fun in the sun and toast to a year of bliss in her favorite place in the world, Cabo,” the source revealed.

“It’s all about her and how she feels and what she needs,” the source said. ‘He never talks about his career or tries to network with her contacts, he has no interest in becoming an actor or becoming famous.
“She told him she can exhale, she can let herself go and breathe because there is no pressure.”
Since Curtis is a life coach, he has reportedly been a healer for both Aniston and her group of friends.
“They’re still very happy,” an insider told Page Six: “But they have no plans to ever get married — Jen swears she’ll never get married again.”

They became Instagram official when she shared a photo of them together on Instagram around November 2, 2025.
Earlier this year, Curtis revealed that he and the Emmy winner were introduced by mutual friends.
‘We were just introduced by friends. That’s it. “We found out we had mutual friends and we just started chatting,” he said on the Today show.
“It took a long time, we talked for a long time and we became close.”
