Two men have been arrested after three people were injured when a ‘machete brawl’ broke out in a popular Cornish seaside resort.
Armed officers rushed to Calenick Street in Truro at around 1.45pm on Monday afternoon following reports that a ‘bladed article’ had been used during a fight.
One man suffered ‘a potentially serious injury’, although this is not considered life-threatening or life-changing, Devon and Cornwall Police said. Two other men were also slightly injured.
Since the incident yesterday, the two suspects remain in custody.
Footage captured by a shocked bystander appears to show a man running from the building with a long-bladed weapon before attacking another man.
In the video, a stunned witness can be heard saying: ‘Oh my God, brother hit him with a machete.’

The footage also showed a second man punching and kicking a man to the ground.
Two men in their 20s were later arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
A force spokesman said: ‘Those involved are believed to be known to each other and there is no wider threat to the public.’
