SOPHIE, 1.80 meters: A midi slip skirt is something I avoid as a tall, curvy woman. They usually sit on the worst part of my ankle and cling to my hips, making me look scruffy. I thought I wouldn’t be able to find a style I liked – but this black maxi version from H&M is flattering and hits my foot in a way that looks modern. Top tip: As a big bird, max length is the key to this trend!

SMALL
JESSICA, 1.80 meters: Being short, I find that classic slip skirts can engulf me and make me feel dowdy. Here, however, I’ve channeled the current ’90s trend and embraced a slightly shorter silhouette, making it look cool rather than old-fashioned. It hits the calf, elongating my legs, while the subtly flared hem creates an hourglass shape.
