Country singer Nikki Lane, 42, is set to welcome her first child with husband Wade Crescent

Country singer Nikki Lane has revealed she is expecting her first child with husband Wade Crescent.

Lane, 42, the self-proclaimed First Lady of Outlaw Country who has a devoted following of her own, announced the news via Instagram Wednesday, more than a year after she and Crescent tied the knot in Meeker Park, Colorado.

‘Honeymoon souvenir. Baby Crescent is coming,” she wrote.

The post included a photo of Lane cradling her growing baby bump while sitting on Crescent’s lap. They looked relaxed and content as they posed outside with their golden retriever dog.

Lane, whose close friend and collaborator Lana Del Rey was a guest at her wedding, wore a floral print dress with lace detailing and tattoos on her forearms, while Crescent was dressed casually in a rust-colored shirt and jeans.

Followers reacted giddily in the comments with a text: ‘Congratulations!! denim & diamonds & diapers,” while another said: “You were meant for this role. Crying tears of joy.”

The self-proclaimed First Lady of Outlaw Country married the British-born businessman in Meeker, Colorado last August

Friends from the music world also congratulated the couple.

Jade Jackson wrote: ‘Ahhhh YES! Amazing!!!’

Charley Crockett chimed in with, “Congratulations,” alongside a pink heart emoji.

It took time and a few detours, but Lane finally found her forever person in Crescent.

In an interview The Sydney Morning Herald published in September 2025, she expressed how lucky she was to have found a loving partner after such a long and bumpy road, including a previous marriage at the age of 25 to musician Joseph Plunket.

The heartbreak that resulted from that failed marriage inspired Lane’s critically acclaimed 2017 album Highway Queen, especially the song Forever Lasts Forever.

In the song, she sang about a relationship that was “better in the beginning, and worse in the end,” leading to the realization that “forever lasts forever” until forever becomes never again.

Lane described meeting her husband in 2023 through mutual friends.

She then two-stepped the British-born businessman and co-owner of Los Angeles honky-tonk bar Desert 5 Spot. After that they talked every day.

Crescent suggested we take a road trip to Aspen, Colorado, including a drive through Las Vegas, Nevada. As they passed a wedding chapel, he made his move.

‘I felt a pang of excitement. He had a ring on him and we got engaged,” the First High singer said.

Reflecting on her journey, she shared on social media: ‘You wait forever to find your best friend and partner – you have to make up for lost time.’
