Helen Mirren proved there’s no bad blood between the cast of MobLand when she hung out with Tom Hardy at the season two premiere in London on Thursday night.

Since the last series, it seems there has been more drama off-screen than on-screen, with reports of major tensions between Tom and production during filming, leading to claims he is leaving the show.

And just days after the actress, 81, defended the actor, 48, the pair appeared to be going wild as they posed for photos on the red carpet.

Embracing Helen as she dazzled in a sequin dress, the two looked at ease together before joining Pierce Brosnan.

Guy Ritchie’s London-set crime drama is back, throwing viewers back into the world of the Harrigan family. their fixer, Harry Da Souza, played by Tom Hardy.

And Helen, who plays Maeve Harrigan in the Paramount+ series, dazzled in a £4,470 silver sequin dress from designer Jenny Packham.

Pierce Brosnan, who plays Maeve’s husband Conrad Harrigan, looked dapper in a pinstripe blazer jacket and a black and white spotted shirt.

But his co-star Dame Helen recently came to his defense and said people should be ‘free to f*ck up’.

There were allegations of major tensions between Tom and production during filming, leading to reports that he was leaving the show.

It has since been reported that actor and producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser are working through their creative differences in time to film series three.

Meanwhile, Dame Helen has doubled down on her defense of Tom, having previously expressed her support for her co-star via a ‘Love you now and forever’ Instagram post and publicly stating she would work with him again in a heartbeat.

“You learn certain things as you get older,” she recently mused Radio times. ‘Basically about how to work with people.’

She admitted that while she certainly hasn’t become more forgiving of people, she added: ‘What you learn is that every person is different; every person has their own way of doing things.’

“There’s not one way, there’s a million different ways.”

“What you want is what’s on the screen or on stage that’s great. And the only way to do that is for everyone to feel like they can be free to create, explore, experiment and screw up,” adding that she herself has “messed up endlessly.”

The star, who reprises her lead role alongside Tom, Lara Pulver, Mandeep Dhillon and Teddie Allen, said she enjoys working in an ensemble situation, and MobLand is very ensemble. I like it very much.’

Tom’s dismissal from MobLand was first reported in the May Puck newsletter. The report blamed “clashes with producers, among others” during production of season two.

Just as season two will hit the screens, season three will go into production this fall.

It has been reported that his character Harry was not written out at the end of series two.

Season two picks up after the bloody events of the first season, with Harry caught between increasingly dangerous factions and must prevent the Harrigan operation from imploding.

Conrad Harrigan (Pierce Brosnan) and Maeve Harrigan (Helen Mirren) are still the power couple at the center of the family – but their relationship and their hold on the organization are under serious strain.

The Harrigans try to form a united front as new rivals attack their criminal empire.
