Grace Hayden channels Marilyn Monroe in a plunging dress as she reveals her racewear rule for showing skin

She is the glamorous sports presenter and influencer known for her striking looks.

And Grace Hayden channeled one of Hollywood’s most iconic stars, Marilyn Monroe, this week when she attended the Sydney Everest Carnival Styling Suite in a plunging gown.

The Australian socialite and style influencer turned heads in a custom sparkling creation from Oglia-Loro Couture at the event, hosted by The Langham. The shimmering dress and low neckline give her look a distinctly old Hollywood feel.

Grace completed the glamorous ensemble with pink accents and paired the glittering dress with pink shoes and a matching headband.

Speaking to the Daily Mail while getting ready, Grace said she likes living on the edge when it comes to racewear.

“It’s something that really allows you to create your own special outfit that you wouldn’t be able to wear anywhere else,” she said.

‘There are no restrictions.’

However, she does adhere to a few rules when it comes to showing skin on the court.

‘If you want to show off your top half, you should wear something with length. If you show your bottom half, you need to be a little more covered,” she explained.

“I like that you can be a little more conservative with racing looks and stick to the traditional themes, because where can you really do that in everyday life?”

As for shoes, Grace admitted that she’s a fan of the pointed heel.

“There’s something that makes your legs look really long, so you’ll always see me in a pointed-toe shoe whenever I can,” she said.

But after purchasing a pair of heels for the day, Grace has one secret trick to ensure she can still get through the event in comfort: packing a pair of compact ballet flats.

The flats can be put in a handbag and put on later in the day if the heels become too high, especially if she plans to hit the dance floor.

Grace also discussed her hair and makeup preferences on race days, revealing that she likes to experiment with boundary-pushing looks.

“You can really be yourself and maybe express something that you wouldn’t do if you were just doing your daily activities,” she says enthusiastically.

Elsewhere, Grace revealed the beauty regimen she swears by to maintain her glowing complexion, citing Australian skincare brand Rationale’s three-step routine as part of her regular regimen.

She also has a secret weapon that she turns to when an important event occurs: a night mask.

“I’m so obsessed with that mask, it’s ridiculous,” she said.

‘I have the pink and the yellow [masks]. So there I just sleep in the night before I have something that I am [doing] the next day and my skin is glowing,” she explained.

Grace also regularly books Rationale facials and occasionally undergoes skin needling.

And while free beauty treatments are common among celebrities and influencers, Grace was quick to emphasize that she pays for her own facials.

Meanwhile, Grayson, whose star is on the rise thanks to his romance with influencer Tammy Hembrow, looked sharp in a black suit from The Tailors Lounge

‘I pay for all my facials. “I really love the experience, it’s so authentic,” she said.

For Grace, one of the biggest benefits of sticking to the same skin care system is having a professional who understands exactly what her skin needs and can adjust her routine accordingly.

“You just do a consultation with a Rationale professional and you stay with them the entire time,” she said.

“She knows your skin and says, “Okay, you might be a little drier than normal right now because you’ve been traveling a lot,” so she’ll say, “Okay, take this and this and this and switch this up.”
