The rock star, 81, spent the Bank Holiday enjoying family time after his recent routine coronary stent procedure.
Rod and Alastair, 20, spent the afternoon supporting his non-league team Bishop’s Stortford at the Grundon Community Stadium.
The legendary musician swapped the fine Hollywood dinner for a burger van as he enjoyed lunch in the stands.
Rod took selfies with fans and players after the match as he arrived to support his local team.
The singer appeared to be in good health after being forced to cancel the remainder of his 2026 tours and take four weeks off to recover from “a routine coronary stent procedure.”

Earlier this month it was confirmed that he had undergone ‘a routine coronary stent procedure’, an operation to open blocked heart arteries using a catheter.
Rod would perform a number of dates in the US and Mexico for his One Last Time tour, including a six-night stretch at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
His team shared the news on his Instagram account, confirming that ‘Sir Rod Stewart has successfully undergone a routine coronary stent procedure following further medical evaluation.’
‘Doctors are happy with his recovery, and Rod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities.
‘On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recover and regain full fitness before returning to the stage. Unfortunately, this means he will not be able to continue his current tour dates.
“Information regarding the affected performances will be communicated by the respective promoters and venues.”
A comment from the Maggie May singer said: ‘I’m feeling better already and really on the mend. I would like to thank the doctors, nurses and everyone who took such good care of me.
“I’m deeply disappointed to have to miss these shows and I’m sorry to let my fans down, but I look forward to getting back on stage soon and having a good time with all of you. Fishing rod.’

The rocker, who canceled a series of performances earlier this year due to health concerns, withdrew from his Aug. 9 performance at Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center after undergoing an “unforeseen but minor medical procedure,” organizers confirmed.
Rod also raised concerns when he had to withdraw from a concert in California in June, citing a respiratory infection that had developed into laryngitis.
A week later, he paused his concert in Utah and used an oxygen tank on stage. This could be related to the height.
He also postponed his shows at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado in June, citing vocal rest.
Rod later addressed the fan uproar surrounding his decision to attend Scotland’s World Cup match less than 24 hours after canceling his show in California due to ill health.
He was pictured cheering on the Tartan Army during their first World Cup match against Haiti in Boston, sparking a huge reaction online.
He said, ‘No, I have a terrible… I shouldn’t have gone to the game in Haiti. You know, I had to cancel a show the night before because I just didn’t have a voice anymore.’
Speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT, the hitmaker added: ‘But the truth is, Jim, I wouldn’t abandon my two sons.
‘I promised them from birth that we were going to a World Cup. And this is the first one that came about.
‘And it didn’t look good, I admit, but I’ll just have to grab the stick. So I did it for the boys.”
