Brittany Cartwright reveals photos of bruises and disturbing death threats in lawsuits as she gets restraining order against ex Jax Taylor

Bravo reality star Brittany Cartwright has been granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband Jax Taylor amid their increasingly contentious divorce.

Cartwright claimed years of alleged abuse in a bombshell filing filed in LA Superior Court on Thursday, including alleged death threats from Taylor – who has now been ordered to stay 100 yards away from her.

The former Vanderpump Rules star, 37, has also filed for custody of their 5-year-old son Cruz, who is autistic but TMZ reports that the judge has denied the request pending a court hearing.

In her statement, Cartwright alleged that Taylor, 47, threatened to “strip her like a fish” and “kill her” while throwing furniture at her during an argument in July 2024, physically injuring her.

She shared photos of the alleged attack, which show her with a swollen and bruised knee after she was reportedly hit by a coffee table that Taylor threw at her.

Cartwright also accused Taylor in the statement of breaking three of her phones and an iPad during the incident.

Bravo reality star Brittany Cartwright has been granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband Jax Taylor amid their increasingly contentious divorce.

The former couple previously starred on Vanderpump Rules and The Valley, but Taylor left The Valley last year to seek treatment for substance abuse and mental health issues.

Detailing years of alleged abuse in her statement, Taylor accused Taylor of “coercive control, financial abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, gaslighting and even physical violence against me.”

Taylor also allegedly called Cartwright a series of ‘degrading and demeaning’ names in front of their son, including calling her a ‘fat ass b***h’, ‘fat man’ and ‘whore’.

Additionally, Cartwright shared a text message exchange between herself and Taylor in the documents, which showed they had an argument over Cruz’s custody agreement.

“Plan for the state to drop unexpectedly twice a week. I am not comfortable with your alcoholism and animal feces being left on the ground for my son to see or step on,” Taylor reportedly wrote on July 15 after showing up at Cartwright’s home to pick up their son.

Cartwright responded, “You have been warned that I will be calling the police for trespassing and once again my son has signed up for camp and is attending We Rock the Spectrum. YOU ARE NOT MY BOSS. Grow up and leave me alone, you are sick and will never change.”

Taylor then responded, “Are you threatening me, that sounds like a threat?”

Cartwright shot back, “This is not a threat, this is my home. I advise you that I do not feel safe or comfortable with you setting foot around me or my property. Pick up is done on the street via Zuly.

‘After you swore and shouted at my front door in front of my son, I no longer feel safe with you on the grounds of my home and I advise you that this is a trespass.’

Daily Mail contacted Taylor and Cartwright for comment, after which Taylor issued a public statement in response to Cartwright’s claims.

“I made many mistakes during that period of my life and behaved in ways that I am truly ashamed of, regret and take full responsibility for,” he wrote.

“The person I was in 2024, during the darkest time of my life and at the height of my addiction, is not the person I am today. I got help, went into treatment and today I am 1 year and 9 months sober. “I have remained committed to treatment and therapy, working on myself and changing my life,” he continued.

“I was shocked to see that claims are now being brought forward about alleged incidents from over two years ago, especially when no police reports were ever filed or criminal charges were brought against me in connection with these incidents. Accusations are being made that I strongly dispute. The full story, context and evidence will be dealt with where it belongs: in court.”

He ended with: “I will respect the orders of the court and the legal process. My focus remains my sobriety, working on my mental health, being the best father I can be to Cruz and moving forward in a healthy and responsible way. All I can do is acknowledge my mistakes, stay true to the changes I’ve made, and ensure that the choices I make today reflect the man and father I want to be.”

The former couple were together from 2015 to 2024. Taylor was an original cast member of Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, with Cartwright joining the series for its fifth season in 2016.

They were both dropped from the series at the end of season eight in 2020, but returned to the small screen in 2024 for the spin-off series The Valley.

Taylor starred in the first two seasons of The Valley, but he left the show last year to seek treatment for substance abuse and mental health issues following the demise of his marriage to Cartwright.

In July, it was revealed that Taylor was secretly dating Cartwright’s “good friend” and longtime publicist Lori Krebs.

Cartwright labeled Taylor’s relationship with Krebs a “complete betrayal” and discussed how she once considered her ex-publicist “family” during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live earlier this month.

The Valley star claimed Krebs was still her publicist when the romance with Taylor was revealed to her, just hours before TMZ published photos of Krebs and Taylor chatting together in Mexico.

“She still got a commission from me, still made 10% of things from me, she was still my friend… family basically,” Cartwright said.

Shortly after her appearance on WWHL, Taylor responded to his ex’s claims on an Instagram post shared by the Bravo show.

In a since-deleted comment, he wrote, “The amount of blatant lies in this interview is unbelievable,” according to Us Weekly.

Taylor has also accused Cartwright of trying to sabotage his career after their divorce.

“What hurts most is the feeling that no matter how hard I work to rebuild my life, get ahead or earn new opportunities, there are constant attempts to take those opportunities away,” Taylor said.
