Anna Richardson reveals she’s found love again with new boyfriend following split from Sue Perkins 

Anna Richardson has revealed she has a new boyfriend, more than a year after her split from Sue Perkins.

The Naked Attraction host, 52, split from the former Bake Off host, 53, in June 2021 after eight years together, with a source stating at the time that they were both “devastated”.

But 16 months after the breakup, Anna has found love again, telling in a new interview that she was “really very lucky” to find someone who fits her friends so well.

Anna shared her relationship news as she discussed her ‘love language’ in a chat with The mirror.

She explained: This morning – I’m dating, I have a boyfriend – and my boyfriend has already told me “I haven’t spent enough time with you” so his love language is time – he needs my time to be loved to feel.

‘While I actually really like to receive text messages that say: [something like] “I think of you and I love you”. So people need to know how their partner does their love language.’

She shared how they met and continued: ‘I was introduced to apps’ [while dating], but actually I got to know someone through friends of friends. Yeah, so again, I’ve just been really, really lucky to have someone in my circle of friends.’

Anna was previously with partner Charles Martin for 18 years before dating Sue in 2013 after meeting at a Halloween party.

At the time of her breakup with Sue, a source told The sun: ‘It’s really sad. Both Anna and Sue are devastated.

“We’re all hoping they can patch things up and resolve their differences, but it seems all over for now.”

Meanwhile, in May, the TV star admitted that “you never get used to heartbreak” after their breakup in a revealing interview.

The presenter spoke to Okay magazine about love and her fear of getting older, and admits she is “feared with fear” at the prospect of what could happen in the future.

Speaking of the split, the host told the publication, “I suppose I don’t know if you get more resilient with age, but heartbreak is still that mystery that needs solving, and how do you get over it and get stronger.”

The couple, who had been dating for eight years, reportedly broke up after Sue’s reluctance to start a family, with Anna previously revealing she had been thinking about adopting a child and felt that “the time urges’ to do so.

Anna, who started dating Sue after her divorce from her partner of 18 years Charles, went on to reveal: ‘It’s a very basic and visceral realization [if you haven’t had children] that: “Oh my God, I can’t do that anymore.” Even if I wanted to.’

She added: that she feels “slow, unrelenting terror” as she thinks about the next 30 years of her life and says, “It seems to be a bit of a setback. And it’s very, very difficult.’

MailOnline exclusively revealed in June that no one else was involved in Sue and Anna’s split decision, which the couple took with “pain in the heart.”

A source said: ‘The split is as amicable as these things can ever be. After so long together, it wasn’t an easy decision and they both did it with a heavy heart.

“But Sue and Anna are determined to stay friends and keep in touch. No one else is involved and now the two are throwing themselves into their work.’

It was reported that Anna had moved out of their £2million shared home in North London to live in Staffordshire to be close to her mother, who cares for her father who suffers from dementia.
