The now 65-year-old actress braved the hot temperatures in Southern California while walking her dog with a friend.
Whalley opted for comfort in an all-black look including a T-shirt, three-quarter length leggings and Adidas sneakers.
She let her natural evergreen look shine by going makeup-free while her brunette locks were pulled back into a ponytail.
The talented actress rose to fame with appearances on British television, including the drama series Edge of Darkness in 1985, which earned her a BAFTA TV nomination for Best Actress.
However, it was her role in Willow in 1988 that launched her to worldwide fame when she met future husband Kilmer on set.
The Ron Howard-directed project starred Whalley as warrior Sorsha, who fell in love with mercenary swordsman Madmartigan, played by Kilmer.
The adventure film, executive produced by George Lucas, also starred Warwick Davis in the title role, along with Jean Marsh, Patricia Hayes, Kevin Pollak, Bill Barty and Pat Roach.

Perhaps the film’s biggest achievement was the marriage between Whalley and Kilmer, which lasted from 1988 to 1996.

Two years later, Val and Joanne came face to face on screen for the first time when they were introduced as each other’s love interests in the fantasy film Willow.
The whirlwind romance spawned an eight-year marriage that produced two children, but ultimately ended in heartbreak after Joanne brutally ended their relationship — as Val famously joked that their divorce was “the second most expensive” in New Mexico.
Despite going their separate ways, Val and Joanne continued to co-parent their two children, son Jack, 30, and daughter Mercedes, 34, in the years leading up to his death.

Whalley is also known for her role as Christine Keeler in the 1989 film Scandal, about the infamous John Profumo affair that rocked Britain in the early 1960s.
Kilmer died on April 1 last year from pneumonia after a long battle with cancer.

Whalley is still actively acting, having most recently played the role of Sophia in the unconventional documentary Every Moon Is Atrocious, which was released earlier this year.
She also appeared in all five episodes of the British television series The Rumour, which was released last year.
