According to Ukraine’s security service, an assassination plot on the life of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been ‘foiled’.

Two Ukrainian counterintelligence agents reportedly arrested for ‘scheming’ [Russian intelligence] to eliminate the President of Ukraine and other representatives of the highest military and political leadership of the state.”

Ukraine’s security service claimed on Telegram that two colonels were involved in the plot, which involved “leaking” information to Russia.

SBU investigators are said to have uncovered a long-running plot to closely monitor people being watched before attacking a safehouse with a ‘missile strike’.

“They then proceeded to attack the people remaining in the affected area with a drone,” the SBU claimed, without providing evidence.

“The Russians then planned to target another missile, including to destroy traces of the drone’s use.”
