A mother gave birth to a baby boy after accidentally dropping her pants in a pub before the baby slipped to the floor.
Footage of the woman bending over to give birth at the Raintree Tavern in Cairns, north Queensland, was posted on social media on Thursday.
In the extraordinary CCTV footage, which is too graphic to publish, a burly security guard is seen picking up and cradling the baby.
The woman rushed into the pub dining room in a black T-shirt.
The exhausted woman can be seen staring at the ground and checking her phone after the unexpected arrival.
She was first seen rushing into the pub’s dining room wearing a black and white T-shirt and gray trousers.
The mother dropped her pants and leaned over to push past an Iron Jack beer sign, but remained on her feet when the security guard came to help her.
The baby was seen falling from the woman’s body as the guard lunged to try to catch the child, but the baby appeared to land on the carpeted floor.

The alarming incident at the pub sparked an instant reaction on social media with one person commenting that it was “really unbelievable”.

The condition of the baby after the rapid delivery is unknown.
