  • This week he posted his video revealing that the singer flew the equivalent of seven times around the Earth last year, emitting 1,200 tonnes of CO2.

So how far would you go for love? For most of us, that’s hard to quantify. For Taylor Swift, the answer was roughly 170,000 miles last year and counting.

That’s how far Swift’s private jets flew last year, according to a new video clip that caused a stir on social media and was generated by Jack Sweeney.

Florida student Sweeney, 21, – a junior at the University of Central Florida – has for years maintained accounts tracking the takeoffs and landings of planes owned by billionaires, politicians, Russian oligarchs and other public figures, tracking their routes and mileage along with estimates of the planet-warming emissions they represent.

But it’s Swift’s following that has sent social media into a frenzy and earned him a threat of legal action from the star’s lawyers for “harassing and stalking behavior” for his efforts.

Yet Sweeney remains unperturbed, as he did earlier this week posted his video with help of Ground control revealing that The Tortured Poets Department star flew the equivalent of seven times around the Earth last year, emitting 1,200 tonnes of CO2.

New data reveals that Taylor Swift flew approximately 278,000 miles on her two private jets last year to see her boyfriend Travis Kelce and perform her Eras Tour

And while Swift’s reps are quick to point out that her jets are often loaned out to others, there’s no denying that many of those jumps involved traveling across countries, continents and oceans to help cash-strapped Travis Kelce, 34, of Kansas City Chief. to see. play a season where the team won the Super Bowl, or escape from the busy stars to enjoy some rare downtime together.

Last year, Swift’s private jet was photographed week after week landing at numerous destinations where Kelce and the Chiefs played; Kansas City, Green Bay, Minneapolis, Denver, Boston… the list goes on.

Often the most fleeting of visits were when she returned to Nashville or Morristown, New Jersey, or Burbank, California, after barely leaving Kelce for a day to return to his grueling preseason training schedule.

It also shows the singer flying across the US and then to South America and on to Europe for the international leg of the Eras Tour.

And she shows no signs of slowing down.

Environmentalists estimate that Swift has dumped 554.5 tonnes of CO2 so far this year – 205 tonnes in March alone.

But it’s not all one-way traffic.

Many of the trips featured Kansas City tight end Travis Chief, 34, playing during a season in which the team won the Super Bowl.

For his part, Kelce has created 245 tons of carbon emissions this year on private jets taken to and from Swift’s side by the NFL star.

DailyMail.com calculates that Swift’s jet has traveled more than 41,586 miles so far this year, and all but a handful of the more than two dozen flights the plane made were trips to and from or with Kelce.

That doesn’t include the flight Swift, 34, chartered to take her from her Eras Tour in Tokyo to California, where she boarded a private jet that took her the 34 minutes from Burbank, California to Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport .

It’s not all the way to the moon and back – that’s 477,710 miles – but if Swift continues at this pace, she’ll get there.
