She is best known as the pioneering transgender star of the hit Australian prison series Wentworth.
And now it looks like Daniielle Alexis has scored a prized gig behind the scenes in Hollywood.
Daniielle, 36, took to her socials this weekend with a video of herself as a make-up artist for famous American rapper Cardi B.
The Instagram post shows how Danniielle transforms the thirty-one-year-old hitmaker into a much older woman.
The usually glamorous Cardi B, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, looked unrecognizable in the photos.

Her long dark hair had gray streaks and was styled in an old-fashioned, bouffant hairstyle.
Daniielle also added ‘aging lines’ to her face and prosthetics to give the star the appearance of varicose veins on her forearms.
“Grandma Cardi,” Daniielle explained in the caption.

The former actress also added a video to the post in which an assistant can be heard teasing Cardi B, “Grandma can I bring you your medicine?”, to which the rapper responds, “Shut up.”
Born in Bunbury, Western Australia, Daniielle has been living in Los Angeles since 2021.
In 2018, the actress made headlines after stating that she wanted to star in The Bachelorette as the dating show’s first transgender contestant.

Cardi B’s transformation included styling her long black locks into an old-fashioned bouffant hairstyle. Daniielle also added ‘aging lines’ to her face and prosthetics to give the star the appearance of varicose veins on her forearms.
“It would be incredible because I feel like trans people are so misunderstood because people just don’t have the education,” she explained in an interview with Yahoo lifestyle at the time.
In response to common misconceptions about transgender people in relationships, Danii said the endeavor was rooted in the hope of educating the show’s audience.
“When someone like me is put in someone’s face, they have no choice but to learn,” she said.

‘I watch shows like Married At First Sight and The Bachelorette and I think it’s so important that someone like me would be on a show like that.’
Danii’s revelation comes almost a year after the actress publicly revealed her transgender status, saying the transition was “the best decision” she ever made.
Months later, alongside a throwback Instagram post from her adolescence, the brunette beauty spoke about the “rebirth” she experienced when she finally started presenting as a woman.
The actress was candid in the post, explaining that she made her story public to help others see things from her point of view.
“I hope that if you open up a little, you will understand me a little better,” she wrote.
“I’m the same person with the same heart, same mind and same organs, but Daniielle Alexis is a person reborn.”
