‘I wish I knew sooner’: The Challenge star Amber Borzotra announces she was diagnosed with autism at 35 after ‘struggling’ with her identity for years
The Challenge: Ride or Dies star Amber Borzotra revealed that she had been diagnosed with autism at the age of 35 during the second part of the show’s reunion episode.
The reality personality, who has also appeared on Big Brother, has opened up about his condition and discussed its impact on his life.
The revelation comes a month after she announced that she was pregnant.
During the meeting on Wednesday, Borzotra stated through People that his condition affected his performance during The Challenge: Ride or Die.
‘I struggle in social settings, and this pressure has been a lot for me. And I took medication for depression and anxiety in this game, and I told people I didn’t because it was embarrassing,” he said.
Opening: Amber Borzotra revealed that she had been diagnosed with autism during the second part of The Challenge: Ride or Dies reunion, which aired on Wednesday.
He talked about how his condition affected his daily life.
“Basically, I camouflage myself to fit in. So if I see someone hugging someone, like they’re doing something, I feel like I have to mirror that… I’m very stimulating. I don’t know if you know, I rub my hands a lot, I bite my lip or I curl my hair. she said.
Borzotra commented that he would have liked to know about his condition at a younger age.
‘I wish I had found out much sooner because I have struggled with my identity for 34 years… I don’t know. It’s hard at my age, to know later in life as well,’ he stated.
However, the beautician stated that she wanted to live as well as possible and that she was glad to have found out about her condition.
‘It feels good to be… to be myself. And I just want them to know: this is me,” she said.
Borzotra also expressed that he wanted to serve as a “good influence on other neurodivergent people.”
The Big Brother contestant revealed she was pregnant with an Instagram post shared in January.
Being honest: The 34-year-old reality personality, who also appeared on Big Brother, has opened up about her condition and opened up about the impact on her life.
In the photo, the reality personality showed off her growing baby bump and placed a hand on her stomach.
The beautician also tagged her partner, Chauncey Palmer, in her post and attached a link to her account on her belly.
