Trinny Woodall is “looking to the future with positivity” after splitting with Charles Saatchi.

The What Not To Wear star, 59, has ended his romance with his long-term love, 79, after reportedly getting fed up with their 20-year age difference.

Now a friend of Trinny’s has told MailOnline she is “relieved” about her split from Charles and focused on the future, having moved out of the house they shared during their 10-year relationship.

It was previously reported that the 20-year age difference between Trinny and Charles caused problems in their relationship.

speaking to SunTrinny’s friends said she felt it was “time to move on” and that “their age difference started to become a problem”.

“Charles wants to slow down,” the source revealed. He prefers quiet evenings at home, while Trinny feels the opposite.

“She feels like she’s in her prime and wants to be out and about.”

Trinny, 59, has been dating Saatchi, 79, for 10 years, since he split from his wife Nigella Lawson, but the makeup and beauty mogul said on Instagram on Friday that she was moving on.

She posted: “It’s a new day, it’s a new dawn, it’s a new life.” She added: “I’ve been moving, but now I’ve moved.”

He is currently on a ski holiday with his family in France, where they have a chalet.

Sounding emotional, Trinny said, “I’ve been looking at this view for the last 30 years of my life.” It’s the only consistent vision I’ve had.

“Recently, with the big life change and moving, it was important for me to come back here with (my daughter) Lyla and my family just to have that moment, to listen to the birds, to be one with nature. very healing.

Saatchi, a publicist turned art collector, is said to be worth around £100 million. Trinny’s worth is unknown, but her skincare and beauty brand is said to be worth £180 million and rising. She declined to comment yesterday.

In an interview in 2021, Trinny said she had ‘grown a lot’ in the relationship, saying: ‘I don’t allow myself to get away with it, so if I have any kind of outrage, she’ll say, ‘Really, are you kidding me?’ And then I go upstairs and I’m like, ‘Okay, let me grow now.

In an interview, Trinny said: ‘I’m worried about being a single mother, but I get some good advice from Charles. She has a fabulous daughter, Phoebe, who is incredibly kind and intelligent. She has a great girl because he raised her well.
